Olimar's name is an anagram of Mario's with an L added in. Louie's name comes from Luigi's.

When Olimar, and the president get back to hocotate. The noticed that they didnt get the white and purple out of the ship. The President then commands Olimar to return them, but when Olimar is about to land the meteor hits the ship again, so he needs to find all parts again, and to make this worse. Olimar didnt even get Louie out from the treasure cabin so he seems to have fallen somewhere in the planet

This is So sweet, and heart warming. The Pikmin series is definatly the best game in the world to me. Its so preicous, And to hear they're making Pikmin 3.... even if this isn't something children my age do, i jumped up and began laughing. I was so happy. I almost cried. I knew i would probably never see the ending to pikmin 2, so i looked it up. Even if i've seen it on here, it will be differnt seeing it on the screen of my T.V. I will probably even cry, as i just teared up. Pikmin is the best

We will find out in 2011 or 2012!

This made me cry. Olimar loved the Pikmin as if they were his children, and the Pikmin looked up to him as a god. Then he left, and neither wanted to lose the other. But at least pikmin can take care of themselves now... :'(

There's no doubt there will be a Pikmin 3. Miyamoto mentioned it a few times and originally stated Pikmin would be a trilogy. Plus, Olimar was a playable character in SSBB. If that's not a sign, I don't know what is.

The only question is when. I'm personally hoping for something at E3 this year. :D

My theory: Olimar forgets that He brought purple and White pikmin. Since It's a different atmosphere and White pikmin are toxin resistant the Purples die and the white pikmin help with whatever plot is going on.

I think the first pikmin was before humans (except for the cans and platter which I can't explain) and then after Olimar went thousands of light years (which is a really long time) back to Hocotate, and when he came back humans died out but we left all our stuff behind. Maybe that's why some enemies weren't in the second pikmin...

This isn't the end, am I the only one to notice there was no Purple or White purple Pikmin in the final cutscence. Incase you guys who fail to see, the Pikmin planet or as some say it to-be Earth is changeing and so are the creatures and the breeds from them. So Pikmin can evolve, a lot of people said Pikmin 1 was the end but actually this is more open for a sequel then Pikmin 1 was.

There is a very good chance that there are no humans on Earth because of a Nuclear Holocaust or something like that, and this takes place way in the future where the layers of of the earth cover over the "treasure", explaining why there is "treasure" under ground and above ground. Also, evolution has a part in it too... Spiders=Beedy Long Legs, Crustations=Raging Bloyster or that lobster thing in the C of C, and Bugs=Badder bugs...
