Dumd it down that's what this show is slow become or already it this show reminded me of duckman back when it first come on now the boondocks doesn't even have the same flow it use too hav its sad they havnt even shown huey's best friend caesar on here yet if they would have put him in the first season I think there would have been balance to the show

One thing there have been alot of riley and grandad episodes this season, yes you get too see some of the other characters develop more which is good but they seem to prolonging some of them little more then they should. I think that its also become manistream too but there are some moments where you think. Overall this season is funny.

"The Fun-Raiser" is possibly the best Boondocks episode. It's up there with "Stinkmeaner Strikes Back", "A Huey Freeman Christmas", and Thugnificent's episodes.

I want an hour episode somewhere. These 30 min eps just seems like they have to truncate a lot of scenes, like the fight scene with "Tylers" boy guards.
The Boondocks is too good of a show to be on such a pity station. If Aaron McGruder could get the show on one of the bigger stations then he would make more seasons. It's kinda upsetting that there probably won't be a fourth season.

season one and the comic are just one thing it was missing was caesar. season 2 ok wasnt the best but enjoyed it either way but still no caesar. season 3 so far its been good people say its the best im not going that far but i will say its alot better then season 2 thats for sure. I only ask for 3 things more huey time in this season more lessons and meaning like in season one and last but not less caesar!!!!!!
Man, I loved every single episode in this season. I think it's possibly better than season 2 (and probably season 1).
The only difference to me with Season 1 and this Season was that Season 1 was a lot sillier. It seemed like they were just having fun with it. Watch the episodes and you will see how silly it can get sometimes. This season, however, seems like they spent a long time writing it and putting thought into the characters and I think that's why it's so good.

I see it happen on all sorts of shows people always go "this show sucks now, the earlier ones were better", yet they still watch it. I happen to think season three is pretty damn good.

I honestly felt that the worst episode so far this season was Bitches to Rags. and it was so bad,I started spacing out and had to get myself to watch the whole thing,and when it comes to this show,I never really space out (when I say space out,it means rapidly losing interest starting to not pay attention and becoming interested in something else.

@TheSlickAndroid Another bad episode was "The Hateocracy". Hearing Stinkmeaner doing the narrative was just plain annoying. The only good parts were the fighting scenes and that was it.
@littleman411 yeah,the Hateocracy was pretty disappointing,and I had some high expectations for that episode,considering it was advertised like the Freemans were gonna fight Stinkmeaner,the entire episode was just occasional fight scenes and then mostly Granddad and Riley,since Huey's gone mute nowadays,complaining about the situation. asides from the few fight scenes it was boring,and I was pretty pissed when Stinkmeaner took over narration. And I had high expectations for that episode too.

I always wonder what coould have been...
@littleman411 yeah,this show was originally supposed to be on Fox,they turned it down because they thought it was too offensive,but Cartoon Network offered to put the show on the Adult Swim network,because they liked it. There was also an unaired 6 minute pilot that was allegedly very different than the final product. its only been shown at conventions. Damn. it would have been cool if it were released on the Special Features of the DVDs. you can find out all this stuff in the All the Rage book

@blue12208 yeah,when I first heard there was an upcoming episode called the Fun-Raiser,I was excited because I thought it would involve Huey and all the other child characters and would introduce Ceaser,but I watched the "The Real" episode from season 1,and Riley said one of his nicknames was the Fun-Raiser,and I immediately thought,"aww crap! Please don't be another fucking Riley Centric episode(he's had way too much spotlight lately). Unfortunately,I was right.

The end. ??? Exactly, there's no logic in the recent Eps of SP and FG. Although I still like The Simpsons. But I hope this coming episode isn't a big Disappointment. Glad to see Huey and Riley team up again.

@littleman411 I saw the promo for it. in the next episode,Tom tries to scare the kids straight (mainly Huey,Riley and a few other boys) by taking them to a state prison to meet some of the inmates,but the power goes out,the prison becomes guarded,and while the rest of the kids do a bunch of other stuff (particularly Huey and Riley) Tom ends up getting lost in the prison. all alone. by himself......
and the episode is called "a date with the boooty warrior". I'm dead serious.
@littleman411 two more things, I also started re-reading the comic strip and after the first season,Huey isn't even himself anymore. He used to be a sharp revolutionary who brought out the obvious stupidities of society,and the morbid stereotypes of Black culture,and he usually went into awesome loud rants,and he was a conspiracy theorist. now he has the personality of a one dimensional piece of cardboard. to put if it brief,they pretty much Flanderized his character.

The Boondocks is too good of a show to be on such a pity station. If Aaron McGruder could get the show on one of the bigger stations then he would make more seasons. It's kinda upsetting that there probably won't be a fourth season.

season one and the comic are just one thing it was missing was caesar. season 2 ok wasnt the best but enjoyed it either way but still no caesar. season 3 so far its been good people say its the best im not going that far but i will say its alot better then season 2 thats for sure. I only ask for 3 things more huey time in this season more lessons and meaning like in season one and last but not less caesar!!!!!!

Man, I loved every single episode in this season. I think it's possibly better than season 2 (and probably season 1).
The only difference to me with Season 1 and this Season was that Season 1 was a lot sillier. It seemed like they were just having fun with it. Watch the episodes and you will see how silly it can get sometimes. This season, however, seems like they spent a long time writing it and putting thought into the characters and I think that's why it's so good.

I see it happen on all sorts of shows people always go "this show sucks now, the earlier ones were better", yet they still watch it. I happen to think season three is pretty damn good.

I honestly felt that the worst episode so far this season was Bitches to Rags. and it was so bad,I started spacing out and had to get myself to watch the whole thing,and when it comes to this show,I never really space out (when I say space out,it means rapidly losing interest starting to not pay attention and becoming interested in something else.

@littleman411 they only got less than 10 lines which sucks,and I think Ruckus is better as a character interacting with the Freemans,or just an offensively racist one-liner character,like hes meant to be.also,in my opinion,I think Bitches to Rags was the worst episode in the series. it was so boring,terrible and overall abysmal,I don't think I could watch it again if I tried. the Jimmy Rebel one is just as bad,if not worse. the only real good part of Bitches to Rags was the polite Crack addict

@littleman411 yeah,the Hateocracy was pretty disappointing,and I had some high expectations for that episode,considering it was advertised like the Freemans were gonna fight Stinkmeaner,the entire episode was just occasional fight scenes and then mostly Granddad and Riley,since Huey's gone mute nowadays,complaining about the situation. asides from the few fight scenes it was boring,and I was pretty pissed when Stinkmeaner took over narration. And I had high expectations for that episode too.

@littleman411 in the autobiographical section of the Boondocks Treaury book "All the Rage",Aaron Mcgruder said that when he was approached with a deal for a TV series for The Boondocks,he originally suggested just doing occasional Boondocks TV specials (like Charles Schulze did with Charlie Brown),so he could have equal time to work on it and the strip,but the executives said a full TV series is better. I always wonder what coould have been...

There was also an unaired 6 minute pilot that was allegedly very different than the final product. its only been shown at conventions. Damn. it would have been cool if it were released on the Special Features of the DVDs. you can find out all this stuff in the All the Rage book

@littleman411 and I seriously don't get why they've just decided to push Huey to the sidelines and have him barely do anything or barely talk,like he's mute but it looks like thats gonna change because this upcoming episode has him in a big role,and the episode after that focuses on him. and yeah,the Fun-Raiser was disappointing. like I said before I thought it would involve all the characters,but I remembered Riley said that was his nickname in season 1 and thought,"not another Riley episode!"

@blue12208 yeah,when I first heard there was an upcoming episode called the Fun-Raiser,I was excited because I thought it would involve Huey and all the other child characters and would introduce Ceaser,but I watched the "The Real" episode from season 1,and Riley said one of his nicknames was the Fun-Raiser,and I immediately thought,"aww crap! Please don't be another fucking Riley Centric episode(he's had way too much spotlight lately). Unfortunately,I was right.

@TheSlickAndroid Yup. It seems like all the animated shows are dying. The Simpsons, Family Guy, South Park, Boondocks, etc. South Park is too predictable. Example: Cartman:Kyle you fucking jew! The end. ??? Exactly, there's no logic in the recent Eps of SP and FG. Although I still like The Simpsons. But I hope this coming episode isn't a big Disappointment. Glad to see Huey and Riley team up again.

@jrmafiamarkass if anything I think Family Guy is really predictable,and the newer episodes suck. also The Simpsons has been on for TOO DAMN LONG. My God,its not even good anymore.the earlier episodes were great,but now its bland and dead as a corpse (no offense if you still like it). and yeah,lately South Park has started to lose its luster. oh well,Futurama is FINALLY being brought back again after half a decade of reruns. we'll see how it does.

@jrmafiamarkass I'm really looking forward to the Futurama season premiere,besides from the movies(my two favorite were Benders Big Score,which I think was the best of the four,and Benders Game) anyway asides from them,there hasn't been a new episode of the show in half a decade so they probably have a lot of great ideas. this could be the breath of fresh air we all need. also,the Simpsons (was) a great show,but I've always liked Futurama more.

I got done watching the entire first season of this show a month ago,and then started watching season 2. it was like they weren't even the same shows. season 1 was really great. it was so good that it was critically acclaimed by national critics. season 2 however, took away everything that made season one such a great show,and took away everything that defined it. you din't hear anyone one,especially critics and fans, say anything about season 2,did ya?

@littleman411 I saw the promo for it. in the next episode,Tom tries to scare the kids straight (mainly Huey,Riley and a few other boys) by taking them to a state prison to meet some of the inmates,but the power goes out,the prison becomes guarded,and while the rest of the kids do a bunch of other stuff (particularly Huey and Riley) Tom ends up getting lost in the prison. all alone. by himself......
and the episode is called "a date with the boooty warrior". I'm dead serious.

@littleman411 two more things, I also started re-reading the comic strip and after the first season,Huey isn't even himself anymore. He used to be a sharp revolutionary who brought out the obvious stupidities of society,and the morbid stereotypes of Black culture,and he usually went into awesome loud rants,and he was a conspiracy theorist. now he has the personality of a one dimensional piece of cardboard. to put if it brief,they pretty much Flanderized his character.
