@MinnieSusu Believing in a supreme being itself is illogical. Teaching children to do something for some sort of gain is unnecessary. The feeling of affection comes regardless. If they are taught to do something as such from the very beginning it will affect them in the long run and create greed and selfishness. Religion is unnecessary in todays world. The verse u gave me , (حتى إذا بلغ مَغْرب الشمس وجدها تَغْرُبُ في عينٍ حِمئة، ووجد عندها قوماً) Translation :(Until, when he reached the setting of the sun, he found it [as if] setting in a spring of dark mud, and he found near it a people.)
In the verse there is the word: وجدها which means : found it (as if). AS IF IS WAS SETTING ON THE DARK MUD.

This is so sick that children are taught to be selfish and greedy.. They are taught to respect their parents just to go to "paradise".. What children should be taught is doing selfless deeds and loving their parents regardless of their consequences. They should love for the sake of loving. Not for the selfish need to go to paradise or the fear of hell.

It's the same thing but in this case, these people do it for the sake of God and because He commanded them to do so. That's not selfish :S It's a form of justice for good actions and good intentions. @MinnieSusu Believing in a supreme being itself is illogical. Teaching children to do something for some sort of gain is unnecessary. The feeling of affection comes regardless. If they are taught to do something as such from the very beginning it will affect them in the long run and create greed and selfishness. Religion is unnecessary in todays world. It hinders the potential of a human being. Non-religious people are much more productive and contributing to society than religious people.

It's difficult these days to trick people into believing in a new religion because todays world is more advanced and any false claims can be debunked. But 1400-2000 years ago it wasn't so, people were easily fooled. I would have no problems with religion if it didn't cause problems like racism, sexism, hatred, war, homophobia, human sacrifices, cutting of hands for stealing, stoning people to death MANY MANY more...
