Oh, the Macedonians are not Slavs. As a Macedonian, I tell you for sure we are not Slavs, like the ones of FYROM, we are descendants of the old Macedonians, with different influences, while the people of FYROM are descendants of Paeonians, with different influences.

If I see a Macedonian, I recognize him, without finding out his mentality. I simply feel it, and apparently others have the same feeling... I was recognized by one lady whom was born near Thessaloniki, without knowing my name, just by one look (as you can see I'm dark as hell)... That lady's daughter was blonde with blue eyes and straight hair (a beautiful girl, I might add). I don't know why, but she tried to avoid looking into my eyes...

If you desire to do so, be my guest. I have met people from FYROM in the past and I couldn't relate to all of them. I could only relate to a certain extent to a guy from the south - Heraklea. And I couldn't see him as one of my own, I could clearly state that he is a descendant of Vardarians. Not as an insult, Vardarians were good people, but that's what I determined after discussing with him and observing his facial traits.
You have no idea how much a normal Greek can respect you when you tell them that you are Macedonian from Greece. Respect given out of love, not out of fear.
But the region, is of Paeonia. So even if they're mixed with slavs, they are Paeonians mixed with Slavs.
Let me tell you about the South Slavs/Sklaveni... When they came to the region of Fyrom, they encountered the already settled Huns (Vardariots = Magyars). Upon their arrival, they were enslaved by the Byzantine Empire. Later, the Bulgars came. They too enslaved the Vardariotes and Sklaveni. Basil II defeated Samuil II (hero of FYROM) and freed them all.
You might be aware that Cyril and Methodius (Graeco-Roman Macedonians) taught the Slavs and Bulgars how to read and write, so that later they could be baptized into Christianity.
They too are part of the Hellenic world, because they were part of the Byzantine Empire for around 400 years, until the Ottomans messed things up.
The problem is that neither Bulgaria or former Yugoslav states will not recognize the truth.
He united ALL Greeks under the same rule and through this unity he achieved the impossible (destroying the Persian Empire).
Philip and Alexander of Macedon have shown us all from ancient times how important is for us to be united and strong... If you desire the region of Macedon to be divided from Greece, you didn't understand a single thing from Alexander or Philip's mentality and ideology. Divided we will be weak. The people of FYROM are not related to Macedonians. You must understand that they do not share cultural traits with us. Their cultural traits are Slavic and Bulgarian with huge Albanian and Turkish influences. You cannot decide for all Macedonians and most certainly FYROM cannot decide for itself. My Macedonian relatives from Greece consider themselves Hellenes and not Slavonic. Who are you to decide for them? Support Skopje all you want, they cannot be Makedones.
You cannot guarantee me that they will have blood related to the ancients. I've seen them and I spoke with them face to face. I can barely relate to the ones from the south. Whenever I see people from city of Skopje I feel disgusted.

You heard wrong. The DNA tests were applied to people of FYROM with the "Macedonian" genome being considered the modern one of people inhabiting FYROM. They did not test the Makedones of Greece to compare it (they tested Pontians).
Further more, the official DNA test page was canceled due to insufficient scientific material, being replaced with a forum where FYROM citizens were complaining about the cancellation.
Do not fall into traps, their DNA is proven Slavic.

The name of Rep. Macedonia was adopted in 1991. Prior to 1991, they adopted it in 1945.
My family were Macedonians long before 1945 or 1991. My ancestors were Macedonians in Medieval times, when their lands were called Sklavinia and Vardar. My ancestors were Macedonians during the Roman occupation and they were Macedonians during ancient times, while the lands and people of FYROM were PAEONIA(NS) not Macedonia(ns).
If you want to include the inhabitants of Paeonia in ANY Macedonia, the only one can be Roman province of Macedonia. They were NOT Macedonia Prima (original Macedon), they were Macedonia Salutaris (original Paeonia).
But if you want them to adopt that name, the whole region of Roman Macedonia must be reconstructed and that consisted of:

Vardariotes were Huns (Magyars) that invaded before the Slavs did. They settled in the lands of ancient Paeonia (today FYROM), not in Macedonia. They were conquered by the Byzantine Empire. Later the Sklaveni came and they too were conquered by the Byzantine Empire. The Bulgars came and conquered the Sklaveni and Vardariotes, enslaving them. Basil II of the Macedonian Dynasty fought against Bulgars and won, freeing the Vardariotes and Sklaveni.
Oh, and at that time, the Byzantine Theme of Macedonia existed. That's the problem... you don't know the history, but you act like you do. This leads to wrong statements and has lead you to believe the Serbian propaganda that still exists today in FYROM.

I believe I am a Makedon. I also believe that my people are the best of Greeks. This was determined two times in ancient times (Appointment of leaders of the Hellenic League + defeating the Sacred Band) and many more times in Medieval and modern times.

Greece was not powerful enough to change the cultural traits of my people. They still hold the old customs and they still speak Aromanian language to whomever can understand them, usually with their own family and the other Vlaho-Macedonians.
The "opinion" of FYROM was created after the 3rd Ukrainean Front of the Soviet Army, lead by NKVD officers, stormed the libraries of South Yugoslavia and burned their history books in the streets.
After that incident, the Soviets pushed Tito to power and created a brand new identity for the people of South Yugoslavia - Macedonians. Tito would execute anyone whom claimed to be Hellenic Macedonia or related to the ancient Macedonians.

I met many people of FYROM. In Romania we have many whom fled FYROM because of all the shit that was going on there. Only one seemed to be Macedonian to me. The rest had Slavic appearance and attitude. One of them looks like my friend Ivan from Sofia (Bulgaria).
Population of FYROM is composed of 25% Albanians. Bulgarians there are not allowed to declare they are Bulgarians so only God knows how many there are.
Even if they have Macedonian blood in their veins, this does not give them the right to take the name just for themselves. This would mean that I have to identify my people with a predominately Slavic country, which keeps a Slavic culture, not a Macedonian one.
I am not willing to trade my origins in the favor of a country with which I have little if no connections.

Let me tell you about the South Slavs/Sklaveni... When they came to the region of Fyrom, they encountered the already settled Huns (Vardariots = Magyars). Upon their arrival, they were enslaved by the Byzantine Empire. Later, the Bulgars came. They too enslaved the Vardariotes and Sklaveni. Basil II defeated Samuil II (hero of FYROM) and freed them all.

You might be aware that Cyril and Methodius (Graeco-Roman Macedonians) taught the Slavs and Bulgars how to read and write, so that later they could be baptized into Christianity.
They too are part of the Hellenic world, because they were part of the Byzantine Empire for around 400 years, until the Ottomans messed things up.
The problem is that neither Bulgaria or former Yugoslav states will not recognize the truth.

The people of FYROM are not related to Macedonians. You must understand that they do not share cultural traits with us. Their cultural traits are Slavic and Bulgarian with huge Albanian and Turkish influences. You cannot decide for all Macedonians and most certainly FYROM cannot decide for itself. My Macedonian relatives from Greece consider themselves Hellenes and not Slavonic. Who are you to decide for them? Support Skopje all you want, they cannot be Makedones.

They have not been in Macedonia. The region of Macedonia is mostly in Greece with very small portions in South FYROM, Bulgaria and Albania. That is Macedonia, FYROM is PAEONIA.

I for one consider that Greece does not need Macedonia, because it already has it. Greeks and native Macedonians fought for the liberation of Greece and of Macedonia in 3 different wars, the last one being against Bulgaria so that they will not take the lands of FYROM.
I do believe that a form of unity among the two can be easily achieved, as long as FYROM accepts it's true origins, influences and name. Until then, there will be no union and FYROM is to blame....

You heard wrong. The DNA tests were applied to people of FYROM with the "Macedonian" genome being considered the modern one of people inhabiting FYROM. They did not test the Makedones of Greece to compare it (they tested Pontians).
Further more, the official DNA test page was canceled due to insufficient scientific material, being replaced with a forum where FYROM citizens were complaining about the cancellation.
Do not fall into traps, their DNA is proven Slavic.

The name of Rep. Macedonia was adopted in 1991. Prior to 1991, they adopted it in 1945.
My family were Macedonians long before 1945 or 1991. My ancestors were Macedonians in Medieval times, when their lands were called Sklavinia and Vardar. My ancestors were Macedonians during the Roman occupation and they were Macedonians during ancient times, while the lands and people of FYROM were PAEONIA(NS) not Macedonia(ns).

If you want to include the inhabitants of Paeonia in ANY Macedonia, the only one can be Roman province of Macedonia. They were NOT Macedonia Prima (original Macedon), they were Macedonia Salutaris (original Paeonia).
But if you want them to adopt that name, the whole region of Roman Macedonia must be reconstructed and that consisted of:
Epirus Vestus
Epirus Nova
Dalmatia
Macedonia Salutaris
Moesia
Macedonia Prima
But they are not ROMAN, they are SLAVS.

Vardariotes were Huns (Magyars) that invaded before the Slavs did. They settled in the lands of ancient Paeonia (today FYROM), not in Macedonia. They were conquered by the Byzantine Empire. Later the Sklaveni came and they too were conquered by the Byzantine Empire. The Bulgars came and conquered the Sklaveni and Vardariotes, enslaving them. Basil II of the Macedonian Dynasty fought against Bulgars and won, freeing the Vardariotes and Sklaveni.

The "opinion" of FYROM was created after the 3rd Ukrainean Front of the Soviet Army, lead by NKVD officers, stormed the libraries of South Yugoslavia and burned their history books in the streets.
After that incident, the Soviets pushed Tito to power and created a brand new identity for the people of South Yugoslavia - Macedonians. Tito would execute anyone whom claimed to be Hellenic Macedonia or related to the ancient Macedonians.

While I do not deny the existence of several Macedonian groups in FYROM, they cannot deny that they have little if nothing in common with Makedones.

@shockolanu has it ever come across to you that the macedonians of fyrom could be macedonian seriousley mate they dont seem that different to the agean macedonians other than there language seriousley have a real good look at a real fyrom honestly i believe they are macedonians although they have been influenced by slavs more thats why its hard for people to understand what im saying so because i speak english what does that make me english thats all it is the fyrom r macedonians

I met many people of FYROM. In Romania we have many whom fled FYROM because of all the shit that was going on there. Only one seemed to be Macedonian to me. The rest had Slavic appearance and attitude. One of them looks like my friend Ivan from Sofia (Bulgaria).
Population of FYROM is composed of 25% Albanians. Bulgarians there are not allowed to declare they are Bulgarians so only God knows how many there are.

Even if they have Macedonian blood in their veins, this does not give them the right to take the name just for themselves. This would mean that I have to identify my people with a predominately Slavic country, which keeps a Slavic culture, not a Macedonian one.
I am not willing to trade my origins in the favor of a country with which I have little if no connections.
