yeah I highly recommend the cold steel brooklyn crusher me personally ive owned that bat for 3 years and it saved my life once 4 months ago after work I was being harassed by a couple of drunks but good thing I got the crusher on my trunk i gave them a warning but they wouldnt listen so I gave em a couple a licks on the ribs and on the shin and they bothered me no more thanks cold steel

Actually in Poland having a "club that's imitating a baseball bat" is illegal so statement that they're legal everywhere in the world is wrong. Strangely we can have any knife we want - autos, 10 inch bowies, daggers, folders with a lockup etc. The only illegal "knife" is a thing that have a hidden blade in it like blades hidden in belt buckles and stuff like that.

The bat vs block was cool. I know you had to feel that in your hands for sure. The flashlight seems well made & strong so nice choice. I hear there are pens out there that the end has a spike like design to them which is a good idea for College students who are sitting ducks IMO. Pepper spray is great for me when I go into RI because my Massachusetts CCW is not honored there but anyone can carry pepper spray in that state or sometimes I just carry a spyderco or Cold Steel Recon 1 when I go there

I prefer the aluminum bat, it has a better BESR (ball exit speed ratio), and it makes a nice "ping" when the sweet spot hits its mark. But I'm not taking anything away from the "crusher" it did a good job on the cinder block. What material is the crusher made of?

I'll bet a cast iron bat would be a little difficult to swing (or even pick up), but it would be good for training and strengthening your wrists and forearms.

Up here in Canada, you can't carry anything in the "Context" of a weapon, if a cop asks why you have a knife, never say it is to protect yourself, always say it is a "tool" to cut things. I carry a Baseball bat in the trunk of my car, but I keep a ball and glove in there to, just to make it easier to explain...

I live in a very safe neighbor hood. That is until a family was tied up a gun point and robbed. Luckily the father got free and got his gun and started shooting. Then a year later some 14 yr old kid was stabbed multiple times while taking out the trash. This is not a ghetto but a nice town. Criminals love nice towns. No one is expecting to get jacked at there own home. I too was almost assaulted but used my flashlight and walking staff to scare them off.

I would love to try the "bat." However, people should be careful with legality issues. Since it is not a real bat, would never be used to play baseball and is marketed as a weapon, it may not be legal in all states. A lot of courts may classify it as more akin to a billy club.
