  • Fabulous!

  • congratulations steven cuchara god bless you -From an old friend in florida

  • I saw Steven Spooner perform this piece live tonight. This video is great, but live it is phenomenal!

  • *sigh*

  • Thank you so much. What a beautiful work.

This brings tears to my eyes.

  • Wonderful.

  • I really don't like this guy's rubato. It's as if he has to take a deep breath at the end of EVERY SINGLE MEASURE!! It completely breaks the flow of the piece.

  • merveilleux !!

  • Love it!!!

  • He's my cousin and he's form New Orleans. He played like this when we were kids. Very good!!

  • Hello everyone, He's actually from New Orleans and now teaches at the University of Kansas!

  • Good people, he is not from Russia. I took a master class with him and his wife. He is from Idaho.

  • yes, with a name such as Steven Spooner it's rather unlikely to come from Russia :)

  • Exquisite. Thanks.

  • This is easily the best I've heard--who is Rozum...

  • he is one of the top pianists from Russia...very, very good

  • Da, da, Stepan Lozhochka, iz Moskvyi

  • he plays this okay, not the best i've heard, Yuri Rozum plays this very very well....

  • OMG I MET HIM! He hugged me!

  • bravo!!tres belle interpretation

  • this video never ceases to amaze me. perfection.

  • This was an amazing interpretation of this piece. I am playing it for a recital, and I believe this is the grunfeld arrangement. The original piece doesn't have an ascending scale towards the end. The Horowitz version is also magnificent, but I still can't rap my head around how Spooner can maintain a rhythm while still playing soooooo quietly.

  • Bravissimo. A wonderful interpretation of a beautiful Schubert piece. Thanks for posting it.

  • Your interpretation is wonderful. Congratulations.

  • steven spooner = crazy skillz

  • This guy is a freak, huh? I wish I could play as softly as he does. He's phenomenal. I know b/c he was my teacher!!!

  • i was wondering the same!!!:S

  • Pretty sure its Schwanengesang, D957 - Book 1, No. 4: Standchen by Schubert (song). Liszt was famous for embellishing other composers music usually making them a lot more difficult to play.

  • That's it. Plus, the original version is for voice w/ accompaniment, not piano solo.

  • Bravo! I enjoy the imitation of the melody on right hand. One question:It is an arrangement of Liszt of Schubert's piece?
