To respond to someone below, these illusions are outdated because this VIDEO is outdated. It's an old video. Plus, even if you understand the theory behind his methods, you have to admit he has much better stage presence than most mentalists these days. Except for the last one where the banter got a bit ridiculous and long, everything he said was interesting in itself.
Max doesn't need your polite support. He needs a bigger fan base and modern material in a new suit or outfit that will take him from the dark ages to the bright & brave new world of the modern mentalist. Is ther a doctor in the house? Somebody is dying from making nice nice lick lick the bum bum and I can smell the brown-nosing approach.

Max Maven is original, no one like him, and that's what makes him stand apart.
What have fans got to do with this? Many top magicians are not even known by lay people, but they leave "the popular" ones in the dust.
And btw, the ones with large fan bases go to people like Max Maven for their consultations.
