  • Good info, but I think the video kind of makes jig fishing more complicated than it really is.

  • Jesus Christ love you forever and forever! God love you

  • nice vid

  • BassFishinCommunist?

  • Heyy I Just Want To Ask You That I Have A Couples Football Jig Head & Im Still A Rookie On Jigs Head, I Wonder What Does Football Jigs Head Work On Best, Such Like Rocky Bottom Or Grassy(Pads,Seaweeds) ? Thank You.

  • @iThaKiiD they are mostly used to crawl on the bottom in rocks or gravel

  • Ok?I didnt understand?I have been fishing since i was 3 and now am 19 i have entered several tour. in Arizona where the summer bass fishing is known to be extremely aggressive I have never lost more that many jigs in one fishing trip in my life, and if you do then you need to get a weed guard and learn how to fish a jig.

  • @PS3KICKSXBOX unless your fishing SUPER heavy cover with line less than 20lb braid. Btw ps3 beats out xbox almost any day

  • @CBbassin Still i have a Pfluger reel that calls for 10 pound line and back in Roosevelt where the weeds are super thick i have used close to everything and never lost that many lures jigs swim baits.Etc and yes Ps3 does kick the shitbox

  • wtf is up w/ all the terrible cuts and edits at the end of this video? too bad, was good until the last couple mins

  • @nicumanteca you gotta go to the website to see the full vid. It's cut like that because the vid is 28 minutes long originally so they cut it and showed the scenes that are featured on the website

  • I love bass fishing but I sometimes don't understand the vocabulary, example- lay down, bluffs, slopes, ledges, I have an idea of what they are but I don't fully understand them, anyone want to help

  • ADVICE?... lets say you fish for 1lb average largemouth, are smaller jigs better? (In 5ft water that is)

  • your almost as good as roland martin...but he is better...no offense...not by alot..your my two favorite anglers...but your way better than bill dance lol..

  • @FunnyShitToday What the fuck are you talking about? Roland martin is a douche bag and doesnt even deserve to shine bill dances' shoes. FUCK THAT SHIT.

  • what about tube jigs???

  • If anybody here wants to try a great jig try lockjaw jigs. They are great. They have a trailer holder that makes sure your trailer stays on. Also the skirt collar is hand tied so it doesnt rot like regular rubber.

  • great jig tips.

  • I watched this video last night and went fishing early this morning. I usually try a jig for a little bit, and if I don't get any takers I give it up. Well this morning, I switched from a brown/orange jig that I got no hits on last time out, to a blue/black one with a watermelonseed twin tailed grub trailer, I also added some Yum spray-on craw scent. I had a 2 1/2lb'er in the boat plus one almost 4 came unbuttoned at the boat, both before 5:30. I may never fish a jig without that spray again.

  • @lcmorgan1221 I apologize, that was an error. The spray I was using was the Berkley Gulp ALIVE crawfish scent. It's supposed to disperse like a blood trail in the water, so I would recommend that you slow your presentation down to a shakey crawl.

  • @lcmorgan1221 It probably has nothing to do with that spray,it was probably the color or the conditions. Also giving up on a jig is another problem, a jig isnt a bait that will usually get alot of bites but when you do get a bite it will be a quality one. Patience is one of the most important keys to fishing a jig.

  • @badcatmcconell1324 You'd be suprised, my jig catches in cold water have doubled since I began using the spray combined with an exaggeratedly slow retrieve. But you're right, sticking with the jig probably also has a lot to do with it, I know that a jig isn't a numbers lure, but the bass that you catch are usually heavier than those caught on a worm/tube.

  • @lcmorgan1221 Yeah it probably does make a differnce. I think thats one of the big things a lot of people dont realise about a jig is that it wont get you a lot of bites but it gets the quality bites, they expect it to work like a crankbait or worm and get loads of bites and when it doesnt get bit in 10 minutes of throwing they just give up.

  • I Dont have a boat so im mainly fishing from the bank and ive learned to love flippin jigs under docks and laydowns they always produce bass specially if you throw a zoom swimmin chunk trailer on the back ... you'll never fail with it .

  • great video

    sunny

  • what about jigs with rattles

  • @Mrkyle93 they dont make a bit of differnce

  • Great video. Jig fishing is my weakspot.

  • best trailer is the reaction innovations sweet beaver.

  • ok...what is the most popular jig size?

  • @921144666 haha i hit thumbs down on your comment by accident. But anyway i like it depends on how deep of water you are fishing and how fast you want your jig to fall...but for most situations i like a 3/8 oz

  • lol! its ok..im use to getting thumbs down. thanks! i was having trouble catching bass in this cold weather and heard about how good jigs are in winter. i learned black n blue 3/8 and below is the best bet. Got any tips on how to get a better hook set...because missed alot also. But, caught enough to be happy!

  • yeah i know what you mean on the hook set. That can definetly be frustrating lol. you wanna let em have it for a couple of seconds to get it in their mouth. Get a slightly tight line and give a quick powerful hookset. What kind of rod are you using? That may have something to do with it too. Watch Bill Dance's hookset. He has one of the best in my opinion!

  • @921144666 depends on water depth and action

  • Lots of the same stuff, yes Kevin you can tell us what to use and how to use it, just like a video from the bait company. My question is can you actually catch a bass with the baits you show in your videos. I have in fact never seen you catch a fish, just wondering.

  • Great Video. Very Informative!

  • I recommend going to your home state DNR website. They should have all the information in the fishing section. It might be labeled as "2009 fishing guide" or something like that.

    Good luck!
