my bro is looking into a talon because he has already bent two warrior titan pro classics and he dosent want another titanium or any other stick like that and the only thing that he is worried about is if it has a lot of flex. Do these have a ton of flex or just a little becuase he wants a little flex

@sapoe3 tell him to get the beast...it doesn't really flex but its heavier. I'd compare it to getting hit with a hollow baseball bat but they merely did the flex test to show it won't break

@torney456 out of those two you would want the protector because its lighter and your not going to be strong enough to move the best around that fast. I think you should just get a regular d pole that is light until you get into highschool the get the protector

I have the beast right now and its an amazing shaft . Its pretty heavy once you first get it . But once you get used to it and build the muscle mass to get used to it . Its an awesome shaft . Not to mention its every attackments worst nightmare !

Sorry but smacking a shaft almost proves nothing. Any shaft can break another one if it being winded up, I heard talon was good so is there any video of them going head on with a stick? That might prove to be more effective and evidence of whether i should get this shaft or not.

It really depends on your physical size/strength and how you play defense - typically, bigger close D-men who like to "lay the lumber" prefer the Beast. Most other D guys, including long stick midfielders prefer the lighter weight of the Protector.

depends on the ref. I know some clubs where people aren't even allowed to touch other players without getting penalized and i know some other clubs where you wouldn't get a penalty unless you slashed a guy a million times and broke some of his fingers. I would give the guy a penalty if he slashed a person more than 3 times in a row.

Show the same vid with a metal d pole hitting a talon stick held against the ground like that. Putting in that position makes it much more likely to bend as it's "fixed" at two ends. Otherwise it's just a marketing/publicity stunt.

I have read reviews about the shaft being dent resistant - even after the most crippling of stick checks. However, I would love to see the close-up of the woodies after those impacts! And, I'm sure others have the same concern. If you're sticks hold up, I'll buy the Thunder on the spot!

The Protector (60) should not bend on even the most solid of poke checks - it's flexible, but not THAT flexible. The bending will take place at the head of the stick, depending on how rigid the particular head is. As seen in the video, there will be some bending on slap checks, and to a lesser degree on long passes (i.e. a little bit of whip). Thanks for the comment/question!
