  • Surprising,i've never been able to enjoy this pianist either on disc or live, but much of this is excellent, the livelier&grand moments coming off best.If anything, for me,the slow middle section is too offhand, lacking expression, many phrases rushed.A pity he couldn't resist the temptation,as with so many pianists,to put down bass B's at several points, thereby ruining the whole point of the final B! But if Horowitz,Richter(!),Cherkassky.......etc do so, who's to argue?

  • Indeed a great performance of this masterwork.

    Thanks for uploading this document.

  • Thank you very much uploading. Unfortunately this great pianist yesterday passed away at only 53 years of age...

  • one of the greatest h-moll versions, maybe even better than Roge - he reminds me one of famous Richter's recording. Great!

  • Very bright and innovative.

Hehe, still, mr. de Waal must have never heard of mr. Cziffra or mr. Horowitz's versions.

If only Liszt could reincarnate and give Kissin a kick...

  • An amazing performance.
