@TheHowhurl a band with more than 30 years of experience, you think they wont play a song because its hard to do it? I dont think so, such a shame, U2 always plays the same old songs in their concerts, thats why I stopped going to their shows... Sunday Bloody Sunday or Where the streets,,, are amazing songs but they have such more great songs they could play!
@ubik514 that's what i found on wikipedia. but yeah, i see your point, it's a wonder that they don't play that live. that song is the face of achtung baby and a symbol of their struggles after rattle and hum.
Hearing it like this it's chilling, and that sonic noise that leads into The Fly but then just fades off is kind of haunting. I wish they played this live. Drowning Man would be great too, but, oh well.
It wasn't technically played on tour. This is from one of the rehearsals in Hershey, PA, before the Outside Broadcast leg of Zoo TV began in August, 1992. If you click through to some of the related videos, you'll find other Acrobat rehearsals. But they never played it during the real concerts once the tour started.
This is the most underrated songs of U2 - I just love it

Throw out the acoustical and go live with the studio version. This would make one hell of an opener!

apparently acrobat is extremely hard to play...maybe even harder than streets, that's why they don't play it live...such a shame.

@redcloud02 I heard 'Acrobat' live for the first time here and it gave me freakin' chills; and the lead in is into 'Zoo Station"

If I could pick one song they never played live to hear it's Acrobat, and many fans feel the same... For me it's one of the top 10 U2 songs period...
