I'm trying to get on the raw food lifestyle. i drink a lot and I'm trying to quit right now. Do you think i should quit the drink before going on raw food 100% or just go raw and deal with the drink later? Thanks
@leahcimrac If you drink a lot I would try to cut back if stopping will be too hard. Just remember too much drink will put your liver through a lot and the sooner you stop the soon your liver can heal itself.
@RawFoodMuscle Cool thanks. I wish I never picked up a beer in the first place, but everyone drives where i live. How can I stay sociable and not drink? Do you have any tips and experiences yourself? Thanks again :)
Well Im 22 yr old female I weigh 110 I want thinker legs and I want my butt to be a lil firmer not to firm lol what type of exercising should I be doing. I just started pilates should I stick with it or try something different.
@1zeal Pilates is good but thats not going to make your legs grow that much. I would start incorporating weight training for your legs such as squats, leg presses and stiff legs. Train your legs once to twice a week and do serveral sets of each exercise.
how much protein you get a day? reading a lot of ideas on all kinds of views on nutrition, i think that raw veggies is good BUT all science and bodybuilding experience says that theres anabolic and catabolic phases, and you need whole proteins to get bigger so its NOT all about how your train. eating about 4000 calories to gain wheight in raw vegetables and no added protein powder will do you any bigger? no. you seem like a cool guy, but i really think your a genetic gifted "freak" or cheating.
@SuperSonicOatmeal I must be a genetic freak lol, cause I'm NOT cheating and thanks for the complement. I take in a daily amount of protein that is based on my muscle mass vs body fat and yes whole proteins is one of the keys, but you can easily get this from raw sources such as sprouts, greens and so on. I agree the anabolic phase is very important to gaining muscle and thats why rest is a big key and never over train which is what can trigger the catablic phase same as under eating.
@SuperSonicOatmeal Also not sure if you knew but I do put raw protein powder in my shakes and I make my own protein powder from the sprouts that I grow. These are complete proteins and when eaten raw you get 100% of the protein/nutrients instead of something that is heated which removes a lot of the nutrients. For more info you should check out my website (link on my main page) under the FAQ link. There's lots of keys points that I discuss that might interest you. Anyway take care and stay cool.
I tend to do a 80% raw 20% cooked. I find being 100% raw i sorta miss things so ill cook the brown rice and legumes or wholemeal pasta then throw on a raw veggie uncooked sauce, but i always cool the cooked food so its luke warm as to not detroy ensymes, i find i still have high energy. But if i eat a whole cooked meal, with no uncooked food, then i get tred after it. But i find if sum1 cant be 100% raw this is a great way of doing it.
Most people run into deficiencies with the raw diet while attempting on their own. Its a science, not something you read about or simply follow on a whim. B12 being a water soluble vitamin its obviously needed everyday and if not soil based its useless. Poor food combining, lack of synergistic co-factors inhibit vit/nutrient assimilation. Often these vitamins are present but the cell lacks the ability to receive them, and the body cannot utilize it because of several reasons.
@moddingpc In general you will get more nutrients from eating whole foods, by cooking them many of the nutrients are removed. Plus when eating foods such as pasta and bread which is high glucose, the food is much harder to digest and separate into usable sugars. Too much glucose causes obesity, high blood presure and diabetes.
@moddingpc I get my carbs for eating foods such as whole fruits. I use to think complex carbs such as rice, pasta and potatoes where a must in order to have enough energy to get through my 2 hour weight training routine, but all that changed once I put the raw foods to the test. I not only had enough energy but I had more stamina and felt as if I could go forever after I was done. The people that I coach say the same thing once they go raw and eat the right foods they feel amazing.
I originally started out as a raw vegan myself, but ran into some major health problems. I was lacking the essential nutrients such as Vitamin A, B12, D3, and K2 that a vegan diet often lacks and that was driving my immune system down. I believe that some form of the raw paleo diet mirrors mans 'natural' diet more so than any other diet, including a vegan diet. We originally consumed raw meat. Much of the produce today is genetically different than the produce we had thousands of years ago.
@JackNeedles No doubt. Today most of the big if not all slaughter houses promote poor unnatural diets and pumping the animals with growth hormones, not to mention the poor conditions they live in.
Somebody should start a rawfood competition eating contest such as a banana eating contest for female or melon eating contest for men, what do you think? (No dirty thinking)
@Tonylee2153 I'm not a huge fan of eating contest. It's just too much to watching someone shove food down there mouth so that they can win first place. I think one should enjoy the food and eat it the way it was intended. Maybe a raw food tasting contest would be better.
I've seen a few Youtube videos by Lou Corona that the next step beyond raw foods are cultured and activated (sprouted) foods. A lot of what he said seemed to make sense.
Do you much about that stuff? And if so, what are you thoughts on it?
@kosai19 No doubt fermented foods are great for strengthing our digestive and immune system, not to mention helps to lower high levels of cholesteral. I could go on about this but it would be too long. Thanks for watching, have an awesome day :)
i love your videos man. I try to eat 100% raw but its hard sometimes especially because nobody else in my house is into raw. I was wondering what are the foods you eat that aren't raw. thx for all the videos and please keep em coming
Do you have certification in personal training or nutrition? I'm just curious because I'd love to put together a website in the future about raw whole food nutrition and fitness, and there's so many programs out there, I dont know where to start! I want some education behind me, so I can be more credible :)
@joyinc30 Yes I am and you should be able to take some courses at your local community college and learn from hands on experiance. There are also many certifications you can find online. It just depends on how you like to learn.

Great points.
It seems a lot of people think the bigger you are (muscle-wise) then the healthier you are.
There was a guy at my work that was real muscular, but he smoke and drank all the time. He was considered a "health nut" by others.

referring to asia, alot of people are depended on daily rice rations.
asians in general eat a whole more raw foods than americans do but still their main carbohydrate source is rice.
how do you get your carbs from raw food? i mean its easy to get that raw protein and fat but i cant imagine to eat my oats 24/7
