I don't understand the passing of the dumbbell under the legs unless this is some kind of anti-rotation move for the obliques. This would eventually become stressful for the shoulder with significant weights, seems if we want to hit the rectus abdominis we should leg the skeletal structure of arm support weight by keeping it above shoulders at all times.
