2008 G37; RATTLE IN MAIN MUFFLER

APPLIED VEHICLE: 2008 G37 (CV36)

APPLIED VIN: Vehicles built before JNKCV64E(*)8 120021

APPLIED DATE: Vehicles built before 29-Jan-2008

IF YOU CONFIRM:

There is a rattle sound coming from inside the main (rear) muffler assembly.

ACTION:

Replace the muffler assembly with the one listed in the Parts Information section of this bulletin.

Reference the Electronic Service Manual for installation instructions.

I have 5000 miles on my G37 and i have a similar problem with my exhaust. I have been to the dealer 3 times and they replaced the muffler all 3 times, which did nothing. They cant figure out what the problem is. Im going to Lemon Law the peice of shit car and buy an audi. Worst experience ever.

They finally found the problem, it was my TRANSMISSION. Infiniti says i abused the vehicle, that is why it blew, and they will not replace it under warranty. FUCK INFINITI. 2008 Infiniti sports car, blown transmission at 5500 miles, has been in the shop 8 different times over 6 months. WOW

Mine is doing the same thing, Mine has 7,300 miles on it, it only does it on the first cold start of the day, I just took it in yesterday and have the 7,500 mile service/inspection done on it and they are going to replaced the mufflers so they said. The 7,500 service/inspection is just a rip off, they charge you 100+ dollars to clean your battery cables lol...

problem was delt with by the dealership. the new exhaust is running strong and is not giving me any problems yet. it even sounds better at cold start up.

Infiniti will replace under warranty.. Just brought it there the other day..They replaced it with no problem but I'm still waitin to see if it helped the solution

my mom has a l30 that did the same shit. its the covering on the muffler, rotted out and the actual MUFFLER is poppin out on revs and causing the noise, just whack it with a hammer or get a new one
