@neilmak --- Love Shawn's music, and this cover, but I wouldn't go so far to say it surpasses the original. It's very good, but Van's honey-cut tenor growl makes for a better vehicle...in my opinion.

I have only the greatest respect for Van M., and his version of this song is worth listening to. Shawn's version is heavenly, and it almost sounds like the song was written for her voice. I do not believe that SC has ever performed this song live. I only wish that she could appreciate the beauty of the song, and include it in one of her live performances. She will be appearing in Bayshore LI on 9/25.
