I just my first breadboard today> Its week 4 of school and what inspired me to get a breadboard was my Tech Lab class. My teacher only taught us how to make an LED turn off in dark and turn on in light. Is there a way to make it do the opposite? Cause its pretty pointless to turn on in daylight...

it works as an amplifier or a switch or something else i can't remember :D

its used in the CMOS = Complementary Metal Oxide Semi-conductor in computers which is basically a NOT gate that does't consume power

The photoresistivity is decreased when light falls on it....its obvious..but how it can be used in streets lights in order to onn-off funtion...?

Coz in day....it must be a good conductor....so circuit will be well operating....so light must be onn.....!!!

I went to ITT-Tech for Computer and Electronics engineering and most of my teachers had us using multisim so when I finally got a teacher that had us using the breadboard I didn't really know what I was doing so this is a big help. Are you going to do a tutorial on which way to place components like ICs because that is my biggest problem, that and connecting larger circuits

Hi Bucky, the series is awesome, I've really learn't ALOT from these videos, I'm a complete begginer in electronics and just about a while ago got interested in robotics and bought some pager motors, resistors, multimeter, breadboard, LED's, solar cells, etc. now I need to buy capacitors, more resistors, photo cells, a trimpot, some alligator clips, a good solder etc.
