what i did was take a 3/4 inch drill bit and drill a hole straight thru the fifth fret. when it comes out the other side, spray some wd40 inside on the truss rod and fill the hole with epoxy or wood putty. always make sure to overtighten your strings to keep the hump tension on a concave adjustment.
The best way to tell if the neck is adjusted is to use a straight edge ruler. You can also depress at the first fret and where the neck and body attaches to check how much slack is in the strings. Please stop making these videos because you're just going to make amatuer repairmen frustrated. I feel sorry for your guitars.
maybe he should have done it with a guitar that needed a fuking adjustment... and shown how to turn the truss rod.. with what tool... with how much force...
The test he did is used as a test to check the string height for action, which you'd fiddle with the saddles to correct. In another video the guy does a different test around the 12th fret for truss rod issues.
ok youve asked that question on about 6 different telecaster videos ive seen, and i have no idea what the fuck you are saying. do you mean can a tele be bought without the pickguard? or do you mean can it be taken off? there are screws in the pickguard that you can unscrew, then take the pickguard off. you can then change the pickguard or "scratch plate" as you call it to a different color or style.
arite, calm down u posh twat. i asked it so many times cuz i just wanted it answerd. im being given a telecaster, iv seen a photo of it thats not in great detail, it doesnt have a scratch plate... (or a pickguard as u like to call it) ur so fuckin snooty. i would like to kno if i can buy one and put it on. i want to know what the chances are that there are already holes in the guitar that allow me to put a scratch plate on. that was my question. can you see why i didnt make it this clear?
Since a Telecaster is nothing more than a piece of wood with a bunch of stuff screwed and bolted onto it, I can't imagine anything being done to it that couldn't be undone and re-done differently.
iv had the guitar in the time since this kind of arguement started and now. its a custom fender telecaster. duno if thats exactly what its called, but it doesnt have a scratch plate, and one cant be put on. hope i avnt wasted too much of your time you cunts. not u hellbentexansnmsnmn.lol. ur a nice guy
When your a pro you can do it by eye and feel. The Ferret is a pro setup guy for major artists, he doesn't need to carry a micrometer and scale in his pocket.
i need help, on y electric guitar there is a huge gap between the neck and string how do i make the strings go closer?thx, ouch it hurts to play my guitar (and type now:(....)

is it atall possible that a fender telecaster can be made so that a scratch plate cannot be bought and put on??
