the games downloaded from the appstore work and are capable of being updated

the free apps that you get from jailbreaking it (from installous) come from the appstore and you can get the latest version everytime an update comes out

it is possible to do with AT&T service, but i don't believe you can do it without wifi using an ipod touch.
