Do people not understand irony in this scene ...As reflected in the book and film ..This scene shows an overly long presentation into sexual violence with some humorous additions ...But Kubrick knew that in order for this scene to work was to show something both familiar and disturbing . It shows how Alex is both a sadist and a somewhat poet in his journey into darkness ...But likewise he must confront his actions equally from this scene alone as punishment .
Hey, I like dark movies or stuff like that, but i keep positive,im interested in dark/noire things but i dont let it affect my decisions, stanley kubrick liked dark things but he wasnt a murderer or anything
@jimbobhk2009 Obviouslly lol he says that in the movie. I am referring to the bio of this vid it says
"The real reason why I added this video was because of the masks Alex and his droogs wear (specifically Alex and the fat friend.) Don't they seem a bit familiar...?"
Why do they seem familar to us the viewer who has seen the movie before?
sigh...when will people learn, you shouldn't chop up the classics :( Clockwork Orange without the sexual deviance is like Full Metal Jacket without the gratuitous violence.
@glebe3047 Stanley Kubrick didn't write the book this movie is based off of. The book is a very worthwhile read. Oh and he is very worthy to be in society as you said because he is a very good director.
@HotEntrepreneur you dont know anything about the movie, do you? you dont know the structure, you dont even try to understand what is the director doing? poor Kubrick
@miticomarci Shut the hell up before I tolchock you in your gulliver. I read the book and watched the movie and I do not or will I ever relate to a rapist.

@bathalax He is a rapist! He rapes that woman. Its what he and his friends do for fun along with beating up old people and stealing. What are you smoking?! Its a shitty book and he's a shitty character. The end. .
Little Alex being a bad boy............oh how I love this movie. My daughter of course does not agree with M. Poor girl, no sense of twisted humor...........
@bachthoven1685 yeh in the book alex refers to himself as alex the large (referring to his cock) and stanley kubrick gave him the surname "delarge" as a nod to that bit

@027220 thank you for that. We are all guilty of being morons when it comes to answering our doors, but that doesn't make it smart. This movie is a good reminder.
unfortunately, they cut out the part where Marsellus walks in and says... Mr. soon-to-be-living-the-rest-of-his-short-ass-life-in-agonizing-pain rapist here.
Now, if there were three of these blackhearted punks coming through my house and pulling off this bullcrap, there would be 5-6 shots ringing out from my .357 Blackhawk, therefore adding 3 more rapists to the obituaries.
The use of "Singin in the Rain" by Stanley Kubrick is an example of the Ludovico technique Alex goes through in A Clockwork Orange. Before this, I had a goody feeling with "Singin in the Rain" because of Gene Kelly, then Alex comes along and adds his version which changes the whole dynamic of the song. Now, every time I hear this, that goody feeling is overtaken by the sick rape feeling caused by Alex. "It's so dark above." "Let the stormy clouds chase".
kubrick was not a freak...this movie wasnt written by him it was obviously based off the book...dont blame the director because the story is weird and graphic...its a great story and has an important message about how much the goverment should be able to control people
@IamiSKLZi actually he DID wrote the movie from the burgess' book.
and the movie has nothing to do with government.
The movie is about violence and sight. anyway who accuse kubrick to be creazy and to be a sponsor of violence should study a little bit. you cant just criticize what you dont know. ( not you IamiSKLZi)
Are you seeking truth? Search for "Truth Contest" in Google and click the 1st result, then click on "The Present" to open it. What it says will blow your mind.
@theshiznits2020 the scene here was cut short although the original scene isn't very graphic either. He cuts off her clothes while still singing screwing with the guy on the ground.
I'd chop off those little freaks' fake noses myself, before stepping on their crotches with stiletto heels. They want to play rough? Try hurting innocent people in front of me, jerk-offs.
@whitespirit26 Calm down , Gloria Steinam, it's a friggin' movie. One of the best ever made. Look it up on Wikipedia and read on it. You must have been born in the 80's...
@PlanTonto You calm down, it's called an opinion. Like you have to be Gloria Steinem to have a problem with idotic losers? I swear, apparently even back then people saw freaky, sadistic movies that blew minds and figured, "This is so weird, it must be brilliant!" Kubrick was a freak.
@whitespirit26 Then what the hell brought you to this clip to begin with? Are you just looking to pick a fight with someone? Zthis movie is art. This country is going to hell because of people like you and your dried up cunt....Go away...Don't bother responding, I block you, dyke....
@xV13TCONGx The user cut out the rape scene because YouTube doesn't allow it, so yeah (the four guys are teenagers, btw, so yeah its pretty disturbing).
Interesting Trivia - The "Singing in the Rain" part was NOT on the script. Before the script was improvised, Stanley Kubrick felt uncomfortable with the rape scene having no dialogue or any creative distractions other than focusing on the rape. So Malcolm McDowell spontaneously sang the song, completely shocked the entire film cast and the producers including Stanley. At the end, Stanley found it genius and disturbing in a good way.
The book is far more superior than the film. Without a doubt. Burgess created a masterpiece, Kubrick raped it and made the money! An opinion of mine which others may not like.

@edithlegacy batman? the rapist is the main hero.. just like the common college students in america.. the "date rapists".. this is real life accept it that your world is like this
@rohanyamid Haha...for sure, but if you remember they had no phone. Who the hell owns a house that big and has no phone? This is truly a remarkable film. I suggest to anyone who likes it to read the original novel by Burgess. The film either changed ot delted quite a bit from the book. Read on the film on Wikipedia to read about the differences etc...
... another analysis but this time on the government and how it treats its people. To me Kubrick was saying that even in the future and for time to come, people with power will abuse it and treat humans like cattle. Im not saying you're wrong to hate it, in fact you have many reasons to. What I wanted to say was that Kubrick was known for not putting anything in his films that was not there for a reason and could serve an intrinsic and intellectual value. I hope this may help with your opinions.
This is an in depth analysis of a psychopath set in the future where drugs and violence are a normality for teenagers. the reason for the stylistic overtone i believe is the result of alex's "drug taking" and therefore sets a radical feel for the movie. The reason for the classical and happy music is because this is what alex hears during his rampages. hence thats why its only during those parts. The 2nd half is the result of...
