  • check out my new display concept perfect 4 ur game !!

  • @13ast1aan Interesting idea, I'll have to look into it some more.

  • I'd like a real time tutorial. K thnx bye!

  • @Reptillian12 hey thanks for the interest! ^^. You can DL the map for a closer view. Right now we are knee deep in V2.0, And thanks to the responses we will be making that video in two parts. One for the board and showing it off, and the other for the mechanics; as well as an over-simplified tut.

  • I feel that you need to remake parts of it- some parts could be more compact... Especially the RS Nors =P

  • @ninjawarrior2019 I could compact A lot more of it, true. The new design should use much less wiring overall. But I dont see how the RS Nors could be more compact, and still be tileable. I'll look into some more designs when I get to that part of 2.0. Thanks for the view and comment ^^

  • I you are still working on this, you might want to try and invest some more space and implement some of TavRider's Instant wire into the long distance wires between operations to lower the delay a bit.

  • The quadrant selection seems a little over the top. Couldn't you have used one set of buttons for the x-axis and one set for the y?

  • @LimitedWard It would have been possible to do that though the way we set up the "ROM" it was already in a quadrant form. to do it that way when you press the A button all the A square would be engaged and then when you press the 2 button all the 2 square would be engaged. It would mean every square would have 2 gates that would both need to be engaged for the piece to be placed. It would need a bit more room behind the board than we had. V2.0 will have something similar to this.

  • @fledrel1337 Exactly what I was thinking. The only thing you would need is AND gates hooked up so that it doesn't update an entire row/column, just on space on the board.

  • Five words: HOLY CRAP THIS IS EPIC.

  • semi-hard handling, bit slow in calculation ... (any ways to cheat on this chessboard btw?)

but my perfectionism is pretty much the reason i never build things as awesome as this

    (chesscomputer next pls ;])

  • Pfft my mansion was better.. Till t got blown up..

    Nice tho i thumbs up'd!!

  • this must be insane, mechanically... i made a working 2 player chess board in LBP2 (search LBP Chess by NinjaMicWZ on youtube), and it runs more or less on boolean logic and electronic gating, but i have never played minecraft. this video has me really interested in seeing what it's all about, but it seems daunting to make it with physical objects as you have: intense.

  • Yo dawg I herd you like games so I put a game in your game so you can play while you play.

  • :( I still think my idea is cool( huge inacctive chessboard)

anyway how in hell would you move a knight if it's still trapped? you have to move alot of pieces around I guess

  • Nicccccce game you have there...

  • You could use the delay time to plan the next moves :)

  • God, is that you? ;p

  • really cool thing.

but the sound quality is really bad.

  • This, my friend

    is incredible.

  • someone steals 1 redstone

    much fun with fixing :D

  • This is incredible!

My dirt house doesnt look cool anymore...

  • @xxCha0z lol

  • Amazing, absolutely amazing. You have inspired me to undertake the same task but in a different way. I hope many others are as inspired as I am!

  • @yoda12999 thats awesome! ^^ Glad I could inspire you. Can't wait to see what ya come up with ^^

  • redstone god much? O.O

  • All i can say, is my stone house which is 3x3... does not compare, bravo!

  • I made a dirt house yesterday.

  • W T F

  • Assembly languages don't have shit on this

  • @LouisLeGros thanks? I think... lol

  • @jccaw tyvm, it does create a lot of lag. once we started getting the last of the wiring up anytime one of us would leave that area and come back the game would crash do to lack of memory lol. we pretty much use all the loaded chunk space available for it and its wires on top of wires so its a lot on computer resources. u can download it from the link in the description and check it out urself, i recommend as a single player map but could be loaded for multiplayer too. just laggier

  • What texture pack are you using?

  • @ChrisChilled the texture pack used is High Dokucraft

  • @fledrel1337 Ok, thanks :D

You have some awesome skills with redstone!

  • thanks for all the comments, glad u guys enjoyed it, world download has been added to the description ^^b

  • its a very good job! like

  • The wiring really looks awesome. The long delay and the hard-to-see pieces make playing somewhat impractical, though.

  • @doom032 enough time with the pieces and they get easier to see, also i'm more accustomed to slow chess games. the delay between moves gives u time to think. though i would agree that speed chess is outa the question lol

  • I came.

  • VERY nice

  • DokuCraft wins. Nice chess set.

  • YOU DESERVE MORE VIEWS NAOW!

  • @XZEROpivots lol thanks ^^ I agree, spread the word!

  • This is rather incredible! I was wondering if you could do an XOR/AND row/matrix switch setup so the players would select "A" and then "3", and if it might simplify construction?

  • @pixelfl0w that might would have made the wiring less of a problem, I would have to start building it to see. I might have to keep that in mind for the next project though, thanks ^^
