It is puzzling to see people so uninterested in worship. They get bored like that when the Word is preached.

Even worse, people actually laugh at the expense of our sister in the faith. Even though they aren't talking about me negatively, it's hurtful! Imagine how Melonie feels? What is happening to us? How can we move so far from CHRIST?

I love the balance that Melonie Daniels has. This short is awesome and highlights that a bit. We already know that Melonie is an amazing vocalist. But in this clip, I appreciate her focus on worshiping the LORD in a simple way. Sometime we celebrate GOD with a loud voice and sometime we honor GOD in a subtle manner. Sensitivity to the HOLY SPIRIT helps to enhance our sensitivity to GOD'S timing. Thanks for being sensitive to the LORD, Melonie!
I wish my pastor knew that. Many times when a prayer point of worshipping, asking for more of God, or thanking God is brought up, I get into a small voice of deep felt appreciation to God and become caught up deeply in His presence, until my pastor interrupts by saying that we are not desperate for God if we aren't screaming at the top of our lungs. It throws me off.
I understand what you mean. The Bible teaches BALANCE. Solomon expresses the balance between planting and uprooting; weeping and laughing; mourning and dancing; silence and speaking, etc [ECCLESIASTES 3:1-8]. Extremes aren't necessarily healthy or productive. We get used to doing things a certain way and think we should ALWAYS function that way. That is an extreme. There are more ways to worship and praise GOD than just lifting hands, speaking words, and or dancing! Balance is key!
I love Melonie... I used to enjoy singing with her at the open mic sessions in New York with Ron Grant... lol You Go Girl!! :-)
