As in flash he is referring to the file that is being used, a .swf which most people call a FLASH

What he ment was, for instance, you create a gun in 3DS Max with animation of a bullet going real fast. You can import that to flash but it can be very annoying if you mess with it the wrong way.

Here you made 1 mistake, that is the main animation layer you named as BACKGROUND and the backside layer you named as LAYER2.
