Goemon wouldn't do battle with Kenshin. His sword doesn't kill; Goemon only fights when his life (or the life of a loved one) is on the line.

It's because he hasn't fought Goemon yet. Not to mention Goemon is quite clever, so if they both lost their swords, Goemon would find a way out.

I think it's been several months since I last watched this--and watching it again makes me all warm and fuzzy inside. I love how you expect the butterfly to be sliced at the end, but only the tree falls down. A great end to a great Goemon video.

@MrSilent305: Kenshin can't cut buildings into pieces. Though, the fact that Goemon's sword can cut through any steel makes Kenshin die right from the get-go.

But Kenshin fought against a Gatling gun and won so...The're both fast. It would be a good fight!

As a lot of people have said already, Goemon is the ultimate samurai. The song fits really well,capturing his warrior spirit and other aspects of his personality, too. Thanks for uploading this! ^_^

I love this video! Goemon is my favorite Lupin character.

Can I ask something? Are there different versions of him? The Goemons in the TV series, TV specials, and movies don't seem the same to me (and I don't mean by appearance either). For example, the Goemon in the red jacket TV series doesn't show his weakness in trusting women as much as the Goemon in the TV specials.

Speaking of, I like Goemon in the red jacket tv series best. His appearance, his personality, his voice, all perfect.

Lupin the 3rd has almost 40 year history.

The scripters and directors in early series must have retired or died like

the original Lupins voice actor.

So, its quite natural that their character settings have changed over the years.

For instance, even in 1st TV series , lupin and gangs character settings have changed in only 6 months due to try getting more viewership. And they failed XD

Well, it depends. Some anime follow the manga, where he's kind of a dickhead. Some of the anime follows the second series, where he's calmer and more gentlemenly.

I love the Lupin series! Sod's law that the books and movies weren't released in Europe, so there's no way I can get my hands on 'em. Goemon is probably my most favourite character too.
