the only hard part is deciding if you want to go the sr20det route or the rb series route. both provide great power gains and reliability is not an issue on either side. thats my prob now with my s13 hatch. she has an sr but i want it for track use. im stuck between a rock and a hard spot

If you have the money go with the RB26 because it can handle extra HP. Otherwise the SR20DET is a great engine.

It's a model code, it's not that hard to understand. My s14 has an rb25det and my s13 hatch has a ca18det, could both be faster but they're fun

European version: 200sx s14a (sr20det) 2,0L engine with turbo..

In america the 240sx s14 is more common and has the KA24DE, 2,4L engine without turbo..

Although an engine swapped 240sx is getting more and more common, either to a SR20DET or to the Skylines RB26DET(T) due to its ability to increase in performance much easier...

Are you (below) a moron? The kouki front IS NOT JDM. It was made in the states, 1997 and 1998. It is a 240SX, on the S14 chassis, as it is also called in Japan, more pressuambly called the S14 Silvia. . .
