Gyan is far and away the best Class 3 in the game, able to compete with Class 1's and Class 2's if you slap High Tension on it. Honestly, Koei's approach to the Gyan is VERY different from other games in that all of its power is focused on the SHIELD MISSILES rather than the fencing skills.
@nightslash3535 It isn't actually, you'll take a massive hit in damage capability without Instant Hero. However, in DWG2 its High Tension SP is actually quite powerful. Unfortunately, it lost that and gained a bunch of useless moves as lackluster compensation in DWG3.
@Shokatshin Thanks, that's all just because I haven't played the second game and skipped to Gundam Musou 3 instead. But still from what I saw from gameplay videos, High Tension+Shield Missile Barrage=EPIC WIN.
If you think the Gyan is bad, try the Don Quixote mission. Forced medium, 7/8 difficulty, 4-6 enemy aces, 2 friendlies that must survive and to top it off, Fighting the Devil/dark gundam. I'd rather use the ball.
