If that is a First-Reponse test , then you ARE or were most likey pregnant , I took one last month and did the same thing and 1 month later I had blood test and found out I am 8 weeks.

Congratulations, how is your little one?

I've learned that if it's faint it's still a positive result, it's just a very low trace of HCG hormone in your urine. If you had waited a few days it would have darkened.

That's called an "evaporation line". It's when the moisture soaks into the test where the positive line WOULD be. A basic rule of thumb is if the line is grey, then it's NOT a positive line. The line should be the same color as the control line. The test isn't faulty.
