@FireTehCannonzors It's the other way around. Over long flat distances, backwalking is faster as an adult. For Child Link sidehopping over long flat distances is faster.
However, in most cases you won't see backwalking as an adult...because any longer distances that would backwalk can do things like z slide or a slide. And here in Shadow there are lots of bends and turns, which makes sidehopping faster because you'd have to constantly change your backwalk angle (has slower acceleration).
I mean seriously, who figures out this crap!? Like the redead wall glitch to get to the boss room....... Did someone just wake up one day and said, "huh, I wonder if I can get to the boss room in the Shadow Temple by wall glitching in the redead room with bombs."

Basically I had the idea to hookshot clip, hover, then superflip into the loading zone and told Grunz to make it work. That's how our dynamic works. :D

MHS aka Memory Hacking Software is a programm that tells me link's position in numbers. By investigating the shadow temple a lot, I was able to figure out a path through the void, that allows us to reach the boss loading zone.
I've always wondered if you can save your input or whatever from a point in the run if you want to redo the parts before it to save some time, or do you absolutely have to do the run chronologically?

The Japanese version is identical to the English version, except for text. I don't know the exact numbers (because I don't know Swordless' route), but the JPN version saves somewhere around 11 minutes. In both English and Japanese, the text scrolls at one character per frame, but it takes far fewer characters to express an idea in Japanese, so the text ends up much faster.
@thepsynergist It plays at 20 visual frames per second, but there are 60 input frames per second, which is typically the number referred to for a TAS.
@EmperorZander are the same, but japanese has some gameplay advantages, like faster text roll, but if we talk about story and graphics well they are the same, I recommend you to visit Zelda Speed Runs dot com, ocarina of time section then general knowledge and version diferences
This Boss Key skip was found through a combination of looking at the map in utility of time and using old glitches. I guess you are mostly refering to that one...
