An interesting theory and decent video. However I will say that the pineal gland is indeed the third eye,but the brain in it's entirety is a vast universe of interconnection. An interesting theory and decent video. However I will say that the pineal gland is indeed the third eye,but the brain in it's entirety is a vast universe of interconnection. It is very true that the pineal does not reside in the front of the head. but reflecting expansion of the pineal gland, it becomes the serpent exiting through the forehead much like it is depicted by the Egyptians. Aside from that, on a more scientific outlet, there are animals that boast a retina on their pineal gland.

well from what i've come to understand so far is that the third eye does reside amoung the thalamus and the Peneal and piruitary glands are more connected to the OPENING of the third Eye... To the person who stated ancient egyptian believe the soul was in the heart know that the heart is found on the middle left hand side of the body. If you read enough you will realize that anything that revloves round left is considered materialistic side of the mind and body the soul is more of the right hand side. i think if you open you third eye when within nature it is a beautiful&heart opening experience. but if its opened in the constructed reality of the modern world in cities with all their illusions the opening might reveal things which are very uncomfortable to the inner visionary, ie to the one who sees through your eyes,the challenge is to open slowly so that the mind-body is educated along the way through your feelings&emotions. otherwise the body may experience illness. so please be careful!

What I think a lot of people arent realizing is that the cup in the back of the head actually is the location of the Third Ear which does not get spoken about as often in the new age circles. This is actually speculated to be even more important than the Third Eye. Gregg Braden says that b/w the chambers of the heart is a cavity which houses the the highest EMF field in the body which goes eight feet around you. the heart is the senior most physical organ. thats why it is so often refered to in literature.

@sequence130 Egyptians are well known embalming, they also existed with what would be called the 'modern brain', therefore I don't think there is any reason to suggest that they hadn't studied the brain, so they may have had detailed knowledge of the structures of the brain.
