Even if someone dies at a young age, if you eat healthy while you are here, your quality of life is much better which will lead to a full life of memories that you leave behind vs. a low quality of life and not being able to do much...what kind of memories do you want your loved ones to have about you after your gone?.....just something I thought about while you were talking about people who ask the question why be healthy if there's a chance they can die early.
Have you watched any of the videos from vegan zombie? I highly recommend him. A lot of good stuff, maybe you guys can even collaborate sometime, that would be awesome.
Why eat healthy. You will be happier... more full of life... live longer so long as you think about what the risks are. Many people avoid motorbikes because of the high risk. Increase your mental capacity. Be more aware of smells, tastes, have better vision longer, better hearing longer. Look younger and more beautiful. The point in being healthy is not just to live long it is to be a optimal athlete, or optimal in what you do. Plus faster recovery rates if something does happen. :-)
I just found you randomly on YouTube and LOVE your videos!!! I am WAY far from being vegan, but it's all baby steps right? :) I'm so sorry about your dad :( Hip surgeries are not fun. I had two from a car accident. I know his pain! Wishing him a speedy recovery. And you keep up the amazing job you're doing with these videos, educating one person at a time and changing the world! <3
@devchenka88 thank you so much for your thoughts for my dad & I'm glad you're enjoying the videos. have fun exploring healthy eating - you don't have to be vegan to eat & enjoy vegan food :)
This was such an neat video, Heather. And I would say that being healthy improves the quality of life. How many people have accidents, and think, "I wish I would have had a better quality of life while I could." etc. and so on.
Yikes! Best wishes on a quick recovery! I have had bike accidents before and they are scary! I usually wear a motorcycle helmet when I ride since they are stronger and better protection. Wonderful video's Heather and thanks for sharing.
Healthy eating is the priority in my life right now. I was diagnosed with poly cystic ovarian syndrome and hashimoto's thyroiditis - both hormone problems. Before that, I ate whatever I craved - mostly sugar! I need to eat healthy to reverse what I've done to my body. I could fall off a bike too, but if I didn't eat healthy I'd have those injuries PLUS my hormones to worry about!
I agree with this, too. I also just think eating healthy and having an overall active lifestyle really does do good physically and mentally. Anyone could say things like "Eat well, exercise, die anyway" (I think I saw that on a bumper sticker one time), but I think that's a pretty negative and limiting outlook to have. Hope your dad gets better soon!
Also, when we are healthy and feeling vibrant, we are in the position to be at service to others when they are feeling down. We can lift them up and be an encouragement. I really enjoy your videos. Your calm demeanor and voice is soothing.
For me, healthy eating just makes everything better! When I eat well I feel great- I have more energy and I am in a better mood. I've noticed that I am a much kinder, calmer person when I am putting real food in my body, which in turn makes me even happier! It's my way of "living life to the fullest"! :)
