@themodernguitarist No worries mate, you would be surprised how it all adds up if you put a savings together over time. It took me ALONG time to buy this gear, lots of hard work and saving...but in the end its worth it. one less starbucks a day and you will be there in no time.
First of all 1) I want you to look in the mirror and tell yourself your sorry for saying you suck! ( music is subjective and knows not 'best' 'fastest' etc... And 2) I'm buying this amp!!! Oh yes I am
holy shit that sounds good! To me it sounds more organic than the VH4. The crunch channel is glorious and the heavy channel is nice and brutal not to mention wonderful cleans.
i enjoyed the video man! dumb question but how do you get such a great sound just from the 57 and no post processing? i might just be using a shitty mixer, but i cant get a good sound at all when i use a 57. instead i use a shure pg condenser!
@WARinMYhead1 Use whatever works for you man, I just threw the 57 on it this time, didnt even think about placement, I have got it sounding better now..
@Joshpol this can be a LONG explanation, but I have videos of the VH4 posted here as well, I suggest you check them out. The Hagen is its own beast, better clean channel, much more looser gain structure, MORE gain, clearer sounding ch.4 , so many other details. Its a whole new amp. Ch.3 of the VH4 is still amazing, but the Hagen has that little "Extra" factor.
Wow that is one cool nasty beast of an amp. I'd love to try it. Keep posting clip of this amp. I was very impressed with the clean channel. Very chimey sounding. Thanks for posting.
Sounds awesome man...I guarantee it sounds even better in person. I own a Herbert and I'm scared to demo the Hagen incase Diezel dent my bank account again. Question - What do you have plugged into the Parallel FX Return?
@hvymtl28208 Or you could have been happy to get a chance to hear it the way I took the time to present it, life is what you make it dude, there is plenty of DRY parts in this video...
Duuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuude, this video made me hard!!! I must have one of these amps!!

Good to know my Einstein isn't outdated :) Typical Diezel Sound even though it certainly has it's own flavor.
I like the more VH-4ish look of that thing. It's unique
djRGBG 1 month ago
Dude The best sounding Diezel on the planet... peter nailed it with hagen! sits between herbert and vh4 best of both worlds.
Fab4forlifexO 1 month ago
Still the best hagen demo i've been able to find.
sleazychestnut 1 month ago
hi reza,
what BKN pickup are you playing? I also play a hagen... and I am considering getting a nailbomb (currently seymore trembucker).
I guess the painkiller is a little to hot for my taste?!?
any experience or recommendations?

great tone, what speakers are in that cab? do they offer the cab with white tolex too?
prabowoputra 3 months ago
Channel 3+4 sounds like a VH4 meets a Dual Recto, IMO.
themodernguitarist 3 months ago
@themodernguitarist check out my Bareknuckle pickup video, see if you still think it sounds like a recto.
RezaMatix 3 months ago
@RezaMatix
Yup, sounded more like a Diezel there.
Not only that, you made me realize how poor I am. Diezel + BKP + Gibson = Me crying in a corner.

Maybe one day, but with my current job, I don't see myself getting a Diezel in the near future.

Awesome vid man. That little riff towards the end of your playing on ch 3 is super cool.

How loud was the amp when you recorded this? I think my problem when micing amps for recordings like this is I have the volume way to loud.

@cisspcism not too loud, master was at 10oclock.

How does this amp "feel" when playing compared to a vh4? is it little or much looser, is it as unforgiving as a vh4 or less unforgiving?
brickford27 7 months ago
@brickford27 feels much more forgiving and quite a bit looser but retaining tightness..
