  • this was a horrible review. He stayed silent the entire time basically. Duh ever heard of a feature/benefit presentation? What an awful salesman/review.

  • i got the same car but a GT, i did a top swap on mine though

  • Love how he goes to grab the HUD controls and skips over it because he has no clue what it was! lol....Weird of advice for salesman, learn your product before you try to sell it.

  • @billybob27851 Lol give him a break, this video is almost 2 years old. He's definitely improved over the years :P

  • @billybob27851 hes not a salesperson he's just making a video of the car

  • I like everything about it but the style, i own a 2000 GTP which i like that style the best over this but still a cool car, but kinda wish they where made rwd.

  • the engine on the 2004-2008 Pontiac Grand Prix

    Engine

    3.8 L V6

    3.8 L supercharged V6

    5.3 L V8

  • Those cars are rare-what? I see like 4 of those things every day.

  • @iTzDifficult The Comp G editions are rare to find

  • damn i love pontiacs

  • That car would be more bad ass if it had a magnaflo exhaust i have a base 2007 i love it but i wish i got the gtp instead or gxp i love power

  • Ok Im 14 right now and im getting my moms 08 grandprix. I was looking up some vids on the grand prix and came upon this one. Hear is my ?... what do the "paddle shifters" do

  • so pissed they dont make these anymore.

  • the body styling on this generation grand prix is really timeless, i've liked it since it came out a looong time ago and still thinks it looks good

  • Long live Pontiac !

  • These should be RWD.....an Engine This Powerful mated to a Front Wheel Drive Layout doesn't make too much sense.

  • 10,995 damn... i cant find one less then 12k in Michigan for good shape.

  • I luv these cars. I have a 99 coupe gt though.

  • YOU GOTTA LOVE THE INTERIOR DESIGN IT DOSENT LOOK LIKE A OLD CAR AT ALL

  • ahh the grand prix, the car i first came home in

  • i will give you $5000 do to no one has any money at this time its a 2005 and the price of gas,,you can not run this car on anything less than 91octane sometimes you have to buy 93octane because not many gas stations have 91octan in orlando and other states we only have 93octane so you are looking at $80 for a 15 gallon tank ,,the supercharger stops you from detuning it to 87octane,,this is a nice car but its the wrong time to ask 4 so much money for an "05" that take 93octane fuel,,good luck,,

  • I used to have one of these. not fun

  • the 2004-2008 Pontiac Grand Prix was assembled in

    Oshawa, Ontario, Canada

  • i have one SUPERCHARGED though COMP G

  • Comment removed

  • I love the car. I have a 06 GP GXP. I just don't like rims on this GTP. Yucky

  • The L67 3800 series II supercharged has 240 hp and 280 lbs torque

the L32 3800 series III Supercharged has 260 hp but doesn't offer anymore torque because of the torque management otherwise the torque on the L32 would probably be higher

  • @victoriadish you could get some headers , full exhaust , air intake , better supercharger pullie a good dyno tune and you will get into the 300whp+ and the TORQUE to match it,,this is a good car to mod on,,,,"nice"

  • I've a 2004 Grand Prix GT1. It doesn't have the Monsoon radio, the leather seats, the supercharger (obviously), the HUD, the paddle shifts, or seat warmers. The display doesn't tell me the temp or gas mileage either. However, the person who initially bought the car picked the Traction control option. I love my car. The seats are the comfiest in the world. I don't mind the interior, I don't like to ding my stuff up, so cheap or luxurious interior makes no difference. Love it.

  • is that a v6 or v8

  • To much plastic interior and uncomfortable seats.

  • im gonna buy this... can i keep the huge sticker on the windshield?

  • Dude I just got an 07 GXP with the 5.3L V8 it so nasty i love it!!! this car is similar but doesnt have the touch screen radio and just isnt quite as nice.

  • did that one have the remote start

  • the 2004-2008 Pontiac Grand Prix was assembled in

    Oshawa, Ontario, Canada

  • anybody know y my grand prix wont start when it gets 10 below it will turn over and over but just wont start when it warms up its fine

  • whats the difference between a gp and a gtp?

  • @xBABYxKICKERx GTP is supercharged with 240-260hp. The GP is the model's name as in Grand Prix. If it does not have a GT, GTP, or GXP badge then it is the base. Depends on the year.

  • do a 06 base GP plz

  • me n my dad have an older version of this car except mine isnt the supercharged one my dad has the super charged i driven it fast as hell top it out in like 6 or 5 telphone polls i have the 02 n my dad has the 98.

  • me n my dad have an older version of this car except mine isnt the supercharged one my dad has the super charged i driven it fast as hell top it out in like 6 or 5 telphone polls i have the 02 n my dad has the 98

  • these cars ave the smallest ashtrays........

  • @witchinghour474 its because they go so fast they put the cigerette out lol, that and because its tecnickly (i know i spelt that wrong) a grocerie getter and moms arent supposed to smoke with kids in the car...

  • Drive it already.

My face when he turned off the ignition

    :(

  • ive got a family friend willing to sell me his 2005 pontiac grand prix for $2600. should i do it? it would be my first car

  • @andymilonakis82 well if it is just grand prix i dont know. if it is gt gtp or for some god forsaken reason gxp then yea i would go for it. i have a 1990 gmc sierra 1500 truck right now and i think ima see what i can do to get a grand prix gt, gtp, or gxp (i love these) id say as long as it is one fo those three id go for it in a heart beat.

  • @andymilonakis82 hell yeah!

  • You have also missed to show the fold flat front passenger seat. Pull the lever on the back of the passenger seat, push it forward, then it folds, one feature I am really enjoying on my 08 GP. My baby. :) Sunroof also, that I see you have video taped on other cars, but you have missed it on this one. Not a big deal but, and the fold down rear seats that you can simply pull the string in the back seat to fold. Among other things. other than that, good review. Thax.

  • thanks for doin this, theres one up for sale by me and im gonna go take it out for a test drive and possibly buy it

  • I think the 97-03s look just abit better, but, who can complain, The GTP is amazing!

  • @Motorfordtoyota I think the same thing. 04 and up looks goofy to me. 04 and up the interior also ;looks cheaper and plastic like.

  • god dam i bought a 04 grand prix gt for 5k whish i had bought this instead

  • And to who said the GTP is supercharged and the GT is not, that is untrue. The GT trim as well is equipped with the supercharger. My 2007 GT performs just as well as the older models, if not better - due to refinement.

I will greatly miss this car, it has such personality. If you are lucky enough to own a new model Grand Prix GT or GXP, hold onto it.

  • @Brian257043 ive got an 04 think its worth holding on to

  • Ladies and Gentlemen i would like to introduce you to literally the worst car ever made by Pontiac! Loaded with features such as Wheel Bearing problems, EBCM (electronic brake control modual) failure! To replace the brake modual is at an all time low of just under 2000$! Wait thats not all, i almost forgot about the massive transmission failures at 150,000 Km's! Folks I apologize for being rude but on a serious note this car is terrible. 03 and back are 10X better than this model...

  • Could you try to find a 1997-2003 version of this car, Kyle? I'm looking to purchase a GTP of that generation and I'm real curious about the interior features of it. If you could, that would be awesome! Thanks!

  • @CumminsTurboDiesel12 i have a bad video of a 2000 coupe on my channel =) haha, take a look if you want

  • Ma bad supercharged

  • Gtp is a supercharger gt is not but gt stills but gt still pretty fast

  • i really like the option to make it go manuel.. nice car im thinking about buying a 98-02 grand prix gt coup tho..

  • i have a 2005 Grand Prix GT. i wish i had this one here and surprisingly this one is way cheaper than what i paid for mine. i paid like 4,000 more for mine

  • whats the difference between the gt and gtp?

  • these car are pretty rare....WTF they arE so not rare what a joke! nice cars though with good torque.

  • NICE. That's my same exact car, just different rims and that color looks a little different.

  • @Isjix The dash is different, maybe not the same everything, lol.

  • Favorite feature in these cars is the automatic or manual transmition all in one!! Slide it in drive and go, or slide it in (M) and pedal shift away!! lol

  • i might pick up an 05 gtp compg for 12g tomorrow heh. i have an 04 gt

  • i might buy one for 3000 in brown

  • oh u is one lucky dude, i need one to for that price lol

  • nice car but i ahve a question can someone tell me where to find the starter on the 97 grand prix today is jan 31, 2010 n my car wont start

  • @MRWEE718 , on the front ???

  • the M on the shift mode means? sry, i've nvr been on a pontiac =D

  • Yes, it has paddle shifters

  • when you have it in M, you can use those paddle shifters on the wheel... (-) to shift down (+) to shift up

  • it means manual this car can run like an automatic or you can use the shifters on the steering wheel for a clutchless manual transmission

  • You should try or ask to drive it. They're QUICK!! I love my Grand Prix.

  • Nice cars. I have an 01 GT Coupe, but the interior and exterior are much better in the 97-03 version. The seats in the 04+ are to die for though. $10,500 is quite a high price for a 2005, but whoever buys that car is gonna be really happy. Those L32's HAUL!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • They actually lowered the price on it to like 8k I think, they are pretty sweet looking cars, never driven one though :(

  • Have you gotten to drive this car yet?

  • @SuperSportSS these look nice cars inside and outsde, but parts and labor are very expensive on these gm cars, the 3.8L engine run a long time, known for transmission issues after 100K. still nice though id never own one though.

  • @MrRichierich1990 i have an 05 that has 128k miles on it and have had no issues whatsoever with anything dealing with the engine or tranny. and with any car all you have to do to make it last is keep up with the scheduled maintenance. and parts and labor are more expensive on foreign cars let alone gm cars.

  • @SuperSportSS I thought the 3800 sc was the l67, and tge reg. 3800 was l32?

  • @Motorfordtoyota The 3800 series 2 supercharged was the L67. The 3800 series 3 supercharged was the L32. Series 2 came out in 96, and the series 3 came out in 2004.

  • @SuperSportSS Ok, thatnks for the clearing up!

  • @SuperSportSS you arent to familiar with car pricing, 10,5 is very reasonable for a gt.

  • @grimmss1 You arent familiar with getting a good deal. I paid 3k for an 01 with 112k miles. Mint. Have fun blowing money at dealerships.

  • @SuperSportSS that isnt really a deal, its an older car which happens to be of the blue book value. The 05 showed here is of blue book value, you my friend happen to be a moron.

  • I've always been a Pontiac Guy! Had a 1993 Pontiac Grand AM SE.

    1996 Pontiac Grand Am GT.

2001 Pontiac Grand Am SE 1.

Never had a Grand prix but test drove them.

Shame on GM for getting rid of Pontiac same thing about Oldsmobile!

  • Great Car man. My dad had an 04 as a company car with a 6 and that car flew.

  • wow i gotta admit although this last gen grand prix's exterior looks like shit the interior is well done. This really makes my 01 gpgt look like dumster food. All the quality in here is nice and many features.

  • This is a very nice car.

  • Not to bad I guess but you missed out on a lot of the cool features/options on the car. The HUD or Head up display, the comp G sports package that comes with TAP shift, red break calibers, upgraded transmission and etc. Also the engine is NOT a 3800 Series 2, its a Series 3 (III) or L32 with a Gen 5 Supercharger, Drive by wire electronic throttle control, improved cylinder heads, with 260HP. The Series 2 had a Gen 3 supercharger with 240HP...

  • Wow, that's a lot of good info, thanks for pointing that out! I'll try to make an annotation later if I remember. I know there was an HUD but I couldn't figure out how to get it to work. A lot of these cars I see on the spot. I did show the tap shift, calipers and what not, but I did the best I could do on the spot at a dealer...

  • Omg dude I wanted to see this car! I think Im gonna buy one eventually. I have a 99 Monte Z34 with the 3.8 in it. 115k and going like new! I love the paddle shifters too, AWESOME feature.

  • Notice there was no parking brake? :P It's weird - you have to like push the brake pedal twice or something.

  • what the hell are you talking about no parking brake?? The parking break is down on the drive side kick panel...

  • @04pontiacGTP Excuse me, I over looked this one. I rented a newer one a year ago and there was NO parking brake - I later found out it was built into the brake pedal itself

  • @xxsheat that is not possible, for it to be built into the brake pedal itself. How would you even be able to dive the car in traffic. It would be impossible if it set the parking brake every time you pushed the brake pedal.. Maybe the rental company removed the parking brake from the drive side kick panel so that idiots like you don't rent a car and use the parking brake to burn out or try to sling the back end around and do a 360... Maybe its a CANADA or UK thing, or wherever you are from

  • Also when you push the parking brake pedal you are actually tightening a metal cable that runs under the car to both back wheels.. Your regular brake pedal that you drive with is controlled by a Master Cylinder that pushes brake flood to your wheel cylinders/ brake Calipers applying the brakes... Once again no way possible that the parking brake and the normal brake pedal are one. they work totally different. and not to mention parking brake is sometimes called an emergency brake if you have a

  • Wheel Cylinder leaking brake flood and you don't know it, once all the flood leaks out and you push the normal brake pedal and it goes all the way to the flood you can use the parking brake/emergency brake to help you stop in the event of an emergency... If all the flood leaks out the parking brake will still work because it is cable driven, and not flood driven!!!!!!!!!

  • @xxsheat nerp wrong.

  • @xxsheat ?? the parking brake is near the driver door. you use your foot to set it and release it.

  • Nice car!

Could you do a start-up/tour/review of a brand new or fairly new (2-3 years old) Ford Crown Victoria, Mercury Grand Marquis, or Lincoln Town Car if you get one or see one?

    Thanks in advance.

  • Typical GM whining pump or alternator.

  • In 97 we got rid of our 95 Bonneville SSEi, it was an amazing car for the time we had it. It was quick too! But then we got a Mercedes Benz C230 Kompressor, that little squirt flew!

  • Love the Grand Prix's. They are really comfortable. Hey Kyle, when you're at places making car vids, and you ever come across a "Hyundai Tiburon" Could you do a review of that? Just if you find one and have the time! Thanx, Kohl2011.

  • Wow, that took a big hit on value from original new sticker for a 4-5 year old car with not high miles. Unless it was in an accident or has defects, it is a low price considering it is from a dealer and probably before bargaining. I think the next year they got the Chevy V8s in the GTP. The Bonnevilles got the Cadillac Northstars.

  • the only Grand Prix with a V8 was a GXP in this body style. The Bonnevilles that have the V8 are also GXP and they have the same engine as the Grand Prix GXP, they are just called a Bonneville GXP instead of a SSEi(supercharged engine)

  • My friends dad has this car and we were in it one time and hes like this car is fast and floored it from a stop and burned out the tires

  • hey one of my requests , thanks!

  • Yep! I knew some had definitely requested it, I just happened to stumble upon it haha.

  • thanks

  • anytime!
