Oh its so easy when you know how! THANKS to MS for great support - all you need to do is check the box at the top of the screen in the bit headed competition - its on the LHS of 'SEO Comp' - then the missing column magically appears.

Anthony, isn't much easier to set the SEO Traffic filter (minimum 80 searches/day) at the very beginning of the Keyword Research, before hitting "GENERATE KEYWORDS" ?

It filters out immediately a lot of useless keywords that will be killed anyway in the next phase, when you set like 3 filters (including this one) before hitting "ANALYZE KEYWORDS".

It looks like it poses no problem for the end result but I'd just like to have a confirmation.

Am I taking 30 DC in vain? I have been an artist for 30 years; saved my best 400 originals to earn my future income from selling cards, t'shirts, prints, etc on internet since selling the old way is tedious. I 'm not looking for a niche since I have artwork done & ready 2 cash in on. I just want keywords that accurately represent products that I have spent 30 years preparing! I can't adapt paintings 2 suit clients; I want 2 find the clients who want what I already have! How can Samauri help?

I would think so. Type in what kind of art you have produced and see what comes up. Hopefully, there will niches for what you have to offer.

Market Samurai can help you prioritize the best keywords and titles to use for your work. Sometimes very similar words and descriptions written slightly differently can result in much more traffic.

I've used it myself for various ideas and it's really powerful stuff that will save loads of time trying to find the right words and combination of words for website names, page titles, blog post titles etc... Hope that helps a bit - Dave

Why not apply your SEOC, SEOTand PBR filters on the MARKET level? Won't that yield you potentially more results that are viable anyway since they have to pass the same criteria?

I'm confused. As a newbie, I'm trying to enter everything into the Market Samurai and do it along with the instruction. When I follow the same steps as our Noble Samurai guru--I don't get how to play saxaphone as one of the micro-niche terms after filtering. What could I be doing wrong?

you did not do anything wrong - things change on a daily basis - statistical information is subject to many items. I just followed along as well and got 4 active keyword phrases instead of the 7 Anthony got. Who knows maybe someone was working with this phrase and now it is out of bounds with the filters.

IMPORTANT: SEOC is competing web PAGES, not sites. A single web site could have thousands of pages about a topic, but is still just one web site.

how come after you drilled down to 'tenor saxophone', some micro-niches within that don't have 'tenor' in them eg. how to play saxophone?

Micro Niches aren't always directly related to Niches. In this case "How to play saxophone" is a micro niche within the Saxophone market. What defines a micro-niche is the number of searches, not the direct relationship to a niche. In other words, the relationships aren't always linear.
