  • better than Fiat I would say

  • flat out kick ass, great video, great driving... I could watch that over and over. Gotta love the MOGs. I've got a 97 Jeep TJ mild lift and 32"s, love wheelin but could never go to the extremes of what a MOG can do.

  • 0`42 < time awsome guitar! luv the sound

  • My apologies We english love canada and french canada, but not the french,we dont like the french

  • typical noisey americans

  • @RICHIE87622

Quebec is in Canada. French Canada at that.

  • i didnt know this had a paintjob until 1:50 . so much mud

  • wow . . . Canadians are really wild. who knew?

  • Estoy enamorada! jajaja

  • yup im jealous

  • I so want a unimog.

  • I have unimog 406 unmodified and my friend has an h1and the unimog will drag the H1 over hill and dale all day long and not break a sweat and only use about three gallons of fuel. Meanwhile the H1 practically needs its own fuel tanker and a friend just to make the unimog grunt, and when it does I just put the mog in a lower gear and drag it somemore. Mog over H1 any day, any season, any terrain!

  • hmm intro is disturbed!

  • Eat what? That thing was heavily modded, and they roll over with a strong breeze. To create stability you have to give up height. The HMMWV is proven. I'd take one over a uni any day! That unimog was awesome tho!

  • @jcaled24 Unimog unmodified would still beat a h1 also.It can climb better,it has better ground clearance and flexibility.also it has a better suspension also.

  • @Henzzman Climb better? Why is the uni only rated for 45% grade compared to the H1s 60%? I'd like to see a uni traverse a 40% grade side slope fully loaded. You could make a custom vehicle that can drive over a 747, and have all the travel in the world, but they are not stable. What you gain in one area, you lose in another.I'm not trying to take anything away from the unimog. It is a great 4x4 in it's own respects. It's about being good at all things, not great in some, and bad at others.

  • @jcaled24 look how wide and big the humvee is,it is basically like a big ship and the unimog has got a higher stance and by some wonder,it isnt such a guzzler like most american cars and jeeps are.the new ones are much better at climbing than h1,because humvee doesnt have a chassis that can bend, the unimog however can bend its bed independetly from the cab and it has got a more flexible suspension.also the unimog is a lot cheaper than the humvee and more reliable, because it is made in germany.

  • @Henzzman

Yeah... because German cars are the most reliable. In case you did not detect sarcasm in my statement look harder.

  • now thats 4x4 balls

    BALLS TO YOU HAHAHA

  • muito fixe

  • the ultimate off road vehicle in my opinion

  • love the hanging spring at 2:17 lol I'd rather have a diesel personally but its a sweet mog :)

  • Youtube: The worlds biggest advertising meca. Even the music you hear is now advertising for iTunes. *Vomits*

  • @morningstomper123 No one's making you come here.

  • @faizaan2000 What's your point?

  • are that the original axels??

  • RAWR

  • dudes...just killer...simply the best

  • AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!

  • AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Is that rear wheel steering at about 0:50 ?

  • @s1914 i thort it was aswell, definitely looks as if it is

  • Very nice!

The greatest off-road truck i think.

  • Damn, that Beast looks like it likes to Eat Hummers and mocks them along the way by acting like one.

  • Damn, that beast like it wants to Eat Hummers all day. It even acts like one, thats one mean heavyweight.

  • That's just not fair but very very funny lol Holister Hill Ca Here we come.

  • UNIMOG? I'd guess there is very little "Unimog" about this vehcle besides the body.

  • @SouthernKudzu

I can tell that mog is running standard 404 axles, so at least the body AND axles are unimog.

  • god that thing is crazy

  • @kad34in hp doesnt matter offraod. its all about torque.

  • Its was crazy!!!!!!

  • how did it do in Top Truck Challenge?

  • @kad34in thats funny i mean the old 80bhp have some strenght too but if somebody really belives that was one xD nicht chevy sound, sounds liek a Beast :D

  • that things tearin up that coarse

  • Better these two people can go by walk

  • where the fuck are people storing the engin for these beasts?????????

  • wow now finishing the vid...since 2004 he upgraded the truck drastically with better shock mounting positions and better long travel shock....that 404 mog just looks awesome!!!!!!!!

  • yea if you'll want to see more of it just watch the "2004 top truck challenge" and you'll see it in full :-)

  • makes me wanna play in french canada

  • québécois!! c les meilleurs du club 4x4 québec!!!!

  • UND wer hats anfunden

  • Fucking insane

  • eat that Hummer H1!!!!

  • whatever, redneck or not, pointless or not, that machine is sweeeettttttt!. I want one!

  • @tuber23504 They aleady make it, & use it primarily for logging.

  • @ibasspro Um, no its used for countless things the unimog 404 was usually a military truck! they are used for plane tugs, pulling trains, radio boxes, fork lifts via hydraulic lifts on front, snow plows and many many other applications!

  • sorry, I was replying to tuber23504 about the 8 legged machine, NOT the mog.

  • only americans can put some fckn hot rod v8 into a genuine unimog... there is nothing it couldn't have done before - but now it guzzles six times as much fuel..! ok, its a little quicker than before

  • funny but an american didnt do this a guy in quebec did, his name is Stephane Belanger.

  • Dude its for RACING! how many race cars have a factory engine?

  • rockclimbing aint exactly racing. its about making it or not (even though time does matter in direct comparison)

  • these people are french, get it right

  • @onthegaszr2 who is French?

  • its WRONG to be French.

  • French Canadian....get it right....

  • I used to go out 4WD. I kind of understand some of the attraction but never fully unstood why one would go out, get stuck , go home put bigger wheels and suspension on go back out beat the hole thet got stuck in then go and look for a bigger hole to get stuck in then repeat the whole thing again and again. It's like a drug I think lol.

  • @salamalycoom It's a nice hobby. Better this than drinking every night in the pub with all the looser from the city.

  • who says they are "destroying the ground" they are just moving it around a bit. way more has been moved to build your house, build the roads you drive on or the building you work in. but you don't mind that because it makes your life easier.these people are just having fun .

  • bud this vid is sick

    sick truck

    lumbardy mud drags ever heard?

  • Wow, a whole 300lbs, I don't really give a shit what car you like cuz I didn't ask. Ahh tsk tsk, Once you own a car then maybe you can talk shit about other people's cars. Don't feel bad, I know your jealous.

  • @tuber23504 I forget the name but John Deere makes one. Search youtube some and you will find it, i saw it a few months ago. Pretty f'in cool machine.

  • It's kinda funny reading your replies. The smarter you try to sound, the more uneducated you seem. Or dare I use your terminology: "Freshmanoric". The only thing I'm ignorant of are people like you making negative comments about some good ol'boys having a good time with their 4X4s, making it more apparent how much your life sucks!! Why don't you log off of mom's computer and go jerk-off some more.

  • You're either gay or still live at home.

  • Last time I checked, Quebec wasn't in Europe..... Check the description for the clip. ;)

  • Awsome man,

  • génial ! belle machine !

  • fucking a!! he is just giving er'!!!

Song at the beginning is Stricken - Disturbed

  • The tires are Superswamper Boggers right?

  • I want those unimog portal axles!

  • Hi - what does 'portal' axles mean please?

  • portal axle is where the center of the axle is set on the top of the rim instead of the center. this is done with a gear set up at the wheels. I'm not real sure on the exact way it works but it gets a lot more clearance with less lift and tire.

  • This is true! And the 400 was bore to 406 in².

The owner is one of my friend. Living in Quebec, Canada.

Now this Unimog was dismentled and he took de drivetrain to built a custom offroad buggy.

  • Sooo Unimog axles, but not the tranny. Maybe the Chevy would have destroyed the Uni-Tranny, huh?

  • I'm guessing he won?

  • Yes built in Canada!!!!

  • this is too hard for an unimog.....

  • it looked like the mog had rear wheel steering, does it?

  • those are awsome beasts very nice

  • The poor passenger was hanging on for dear life! Fun stuff! Thanks for the great clip.

  • but i think in this case it isn´t the original engine ;-)

  • Must have never heard a v8 before, eh?

  • Specs?

  • Ohh DAAAMMMMMMM I just found my next modification :)

  • The guy driving this is an idiot.

  • No he is a very mild manner fellow.Met him. Great builder of off road toys.

  • @pschaffner74 Don't worry it's a rental. LOL

  • @pschaffner74 it was a competition, he gave a Great Show, thats Stéphane Bélanger's unimog i was there on those event, he did great , he wont every event until he broke down, giving a GREAT SHOW!!!!

  • omg, what V-8 is in that thing. it sure isnt stock

  • @PJCroskey i know stock is straight 6 with 286 brake hp.. an over 1000 f.p. of torque

  • amazing. what do you have to do to get a suspension like that on a mog?
