Why do all the workout videos have such lame music? LAME ! The music is about as inspiring as a dirge! Dancers LOVE to move to GOOD music but that elevator crap they use SUCKS!

They call it "official" because there are ones that are NOT official: like the one I have just bought - that is not even done to the soundtrack from the movie at all. Not even a single song! The moves are a simple mixture of dancing and aerobics. This DVD looks way much better.

I think, it is you who got confused with terms and definitions. The dvd claims "WORKOUT" and NOT moves&steps!!! This is just a workout dvd with dance-style exercises done to the Dirty Dancing soundtrack. Simple as that. By the way, I did recognise moves from the movie.Open your eyes.

The Pony is a real dance move. Like the box step but with only 3 feet position changes. The guy doing it looked really funny, but a lot of the time it can be very playful or elegant, even.
