skate :D i like the physics and the realism. also i love the skate park creator, the trasher challenges , make hippie jumps, coffins, late flips and the new fetaure of making darkslides, and the respawn in this game is reaaally a time saver, when i was younger i played tony games, and i like them , but i like more the controls of skate. so i say.... SKATE FTW!!!!

Activision signed (from what i heard) a 16 game contract with tony and trying to keep the games fresh every year is tough. Look at what happened to COD it went from great to what ever and do you think comming up with storys are easy, well it's not. And besides skate ain't that real its far from it. But the point is is it fun. What is funner skate or tony hawk.

If I wanted realism I'd learn how to skateboard. Sure I own Skate 2 and Skate 3, but I grew up on Tony Hawk since the days of the original Pro Skater. Tony Hawk games have always been fun where as the skate games are a pain in the ass to learn the controls if you're new to em. Sorry but Proving Ground all the way.

Everyone bitches about "realism" in video games nowadays. Everyone forgets where these types of games came from. The tony hawk franchise sold millions of copies every year and were the most unrealistic games imaginable, but they were FUN. That is what video games are for. If you are such a hardcore skater and need such "realism" in your video games then keep pushing your wood around in the real world, and leave the creativity and innovation and fun in the video game world.
