The 80's was the first decade that saw the return of payola to the radio stations, removing the ability to pick music based on merit and talent and replacing it with coldly calculated, corporate-engineered-for-mass-­appeal MTV garbage. The 90's saw a brief return of raw, real talent and art in the music industry.

Pop was actually good, rock was popular, not to mention some of the greatest metal bands and rock bands came out of that era who were highly skilled, more skilled then the grunge and alt rock bands of the 90s. Its true during the 90s music started to suck. I mean look at it now...complete garbage.

I went to this concert March1983 in Dallas! I was 16 and Patti B posters were all over my walls. Today my YT channel is devoted to her.
