I do agree that Prince needs to "grow up" in the aspect of the political part of the music biz, but at the same time I can kinda understand why he may be that way with his former band members of The Revolution. This is when he had the biggest success in his lustrous music career. I don't think Prince is a "duschbag" or anything like that....he is just very misunderstood.

I know I'm gonna caught hell for this one but, it just has to be said... The guy's a MAJOR douchebag. I'm tired of all his diva shenanigans. He fans are barred from watching his old stuff on Youtube, former members of the Revolution are barred from speaking about him publicly,etc. I mean he's 53 yrs. old, when is he going to grow up? The Revolution was my favorite band that Prince had backing him. I'm a Wendy & Lisa fan, but on the real, Prince can play every instrument. In a studio, he can mix himself. Band is needed for live performances. Happy for their Emmy, but Prince has an Oscar. ;-)

theyr so funny. Prince was so good when they were working with him. Prince was making great music and Wendy and Lisa helped him but they weren't 90% of prince music and someone is saying...Prince taught them more than what he learnt form them. Prince even told them what to wear. Prince made SOTT, Lovesexy and so many great albums on his own. Prince live shows were better that with the revolution.

The revolution was prince best band. wendy + lisa are so talented. Prince is like a chamellion, he absorbs people's energy and incorperates it into his version. His facial expressions, eye movements and sensual voice on the controversy album was energy Vanity gave him. His first album "For You" ,was energy from Patrice rushen. Andre Cymone was his Dance Electric energy for his 1999 album, Autotomatic . His female side of him when he releases it gives sexual dance music

I'm sorry, one last one, its just really getting to me maybe. Wendy & Lisa can't fight Prince because he's got more finances and its tough challenging someone like him unless its like Corbis or NBC or something like that.

As for their last comment on Prince 20TEN album of ... 2010, which really is JW hidden clever title to hide 'To Otan' or 'To Aten' ... rolling my eyes... that last comment of those tracks being "fun" is exactly what I felt and loved W+L's last "no comment" with reservations!

Parade was like 90% Wendy & Lisa. And much of Dream Factory, Crystal Ball. And they were getting attention for it, the albums were way out there at the time, especially ATWIAD and Parade.

Wendy & Lisa have also done on their OWN, some utterly amazing work. Eroica being their Masterpiece in my view.

I applaud Prince for taking the chance of having two lesbians in his band. The times have changed in a positive way now, but back then, it would have wrecked his career. I know everyone back then was thinking that prince was "getting it on" with Wendy and Lisa, at least sometimes off stage. Wendy and Lisa are talent but I like Prince music before and afte they came along. And also they might play bit of instruments in Purple Rain but other than Purple Rain song. Wendy and Lisa had little creative influence until ATWIAD. People need to stop giving them a lot of credit on Purple Rain. Even they said themselves they have little hand in Purple Rain.

Jeez people, give W&L some cred! They are AMAZING musicians. The combinations of their chord progressions and melodies are stunning. Prince was great with them, but that era of his music was helped a huge part by W&L. That's why he worked with them. He was becoming stunted an needed help. They sent him into a different realm.

They are incredible. I hope they put out some more music soon

I think interviewers really need to focus on the work of Wendy and Lisa and stop asking them the same questions over and over again about Prince. This is about their careers. Not his. They received the Emmy. Wendy and Lisa are successful women in their own right. They should be able to talk about that part of their life. It is part of their history too. If they ask Wendy and Lisa something about Prince in another interview again I'm going to puke.

@ccm800 Wendy and Lisa used to be members of Prince and the Revolution in the 80s, Wendy was the guitarist, Lisa played keyboards. Rent Purple Rain, they have a subplot in it. It's been acknowledged that they helped co-produce and co-write  Prince albums during his commercial heyday, but didn't always get the songwriting credits, or the money. Glad to see they're doing well scoring for TV and movies now.
