  • SSD's are expensive, Ill make one myself.

No shitting, I just ordered mine.

    SSD's OWN

  • Weird video TweakTown. "Cool" sounding rap intro, then bored looking dudes and a presenter with low enthusiasm. Sorry but this is what I got from watching this... Step it up people.

  • 'They dont come out as fast here as they do other places because here is a sorting machine. ?

  • would they give out free samples? :o

  • how come the sandforce tool needs to be blurred out?

  • @super6plx

yeah why is it blurred out?

  • Why do all the employees have numbers on their chests rather than names... 0_o

  • @Nicekiwi9 they ran out of names in that coutnry and just started naming their kids with numbers

  • no wonder SSDs are still expensive...

The facility is not running continuous production it's more like batch production that barely resembles mass production operation.

  • Well I don't agree. I'd say be glad you got to see the inside of ADATA at all. If all of these videos always needed to be done by "experts", we'd never see anything. Also alquiroa, I agree. It needs to be larger scale prod.

  • Really guys, next time, just shoot the video and add commentary afterwards. But good nonetheless!

  • That was interesting.

  • I agree

  • I agree

  • FYI. The 'silkscreen' machine at the beginning is actually applying solder paste to each component pad, not silkscreen/branding

  • You guys need a B shots. Which basically your A shot are just with the presenter talking and B shots are the cut ways of the action

Together both shots make the information more tighter and you'll have less awkward pauses and dodgy camera work

  • lol Pentium D at 3.4, nice

  • Start time: Sat May 2002? dam thats one throughout reliability test

  • @flyingclothesline, except this took place in 2010, not 2002. They didn't make 100GB SSD in 2002.

  • Cool vid. Looked awkard at times but still cool to see the process.

  • @MJBDC07 contact the masbu fsa cture r

  • god this simple production process just does not compute to the massive price of the ssds

  • @onoff314 youre completely ig noring akl tghe other cosyts

  • @Jesusability such as? the extremely cheap labor or the little to no shipping costs per product?

  • @onoff314 The machinery? The costs of materials that the drives are made of?

The technology behind developing the drives?

You're being a little ignorant here.

  • @onoff314, they have to get the memory from somewhere... But I suppose they could be over charging us since SSD is so new too...

  • fuck

  • I actually found this fascinating to watch. I was more interested in the quality control processes in Taipei and surprised by the extent of the testing. Enjoyable and thanks for the behind the scenes work! Bern in Sydney

  • What is their working conditions like? i'd assume it is better than mainland China given it is a democracy.
