  • WHOA WHOA friends and neighbors! This isn't a transposition and transcription of the BWV 1000 Fugue in G Minor for Lute? WHAT...? Was this the first interpretation Bach wrote for the organ, then changed it to Lute to go with BWV 999? I'm confused, yet this is still beautiful!

  • Bach also used this theme for BWV 1000 for lute and BWV 1001 fugue for violin

  • It's the organ of St. Mary's Church, Helsingor (Denmark).

    Dietrich Buxtehude already played on it between 1658-1668
