Saw him many many times in the early 80's NYC. Every time he came to town he shaved a few seconds off each song. Best part was him jumping out into audience (and sometimes street) playing guitar. Only known concert around is Austin City Limits. May have to dig through the archives to find that one....if it still plays!!
I remember Joe "King" back in the New York of 1980.
Although, I was not there for the shows at the Lone Star Cafe, I later borrowed a pen from Carl Perkins there. Joe "King" can only be described as an innovator and an inadvertant driving force behind the new wave and the King of Tex-Mex Farfisa Fun!

THE KING...I used to see him at the 930 club back in the 80s in DC..i would love to see some footage of his live performances..They were the best
