this version was much better than the boring snes version.the music on snes was always boring and slow without any kick and catch..and yet some say snes had better sound!
@alak58 TECHNICALLY, it can be considered to be better, though i would call it a different aproach at best since theres nothing in it that would make it superior, it's just the fact that it uses MIDI sound generation instead of synthetiser style sound. For style and feel, the Mega Drive / Genesis is way more awesome. The only thing the SNES was good at are PC game ports, because it gave back the same music quality... which can't be said about the other things... like graphics... and gameplay...
Yeah the snes had a slight power advantage on the mega drive, sega still kicked the snes's ass in that particular console war. the proof? Mega drive was still being supported in brazil up to 2002!!! Amazing!!
No its true dude, there was some licencing issue that prevented some south american countries from gettin playstations, so 3rd parties kept goin wit megadrive LONG after its european withdrawal from the market, honestly tho i was a big sega guy, mayb a bit bias lol
@soontobe1982 Well in terms of local use it possibly was more long lived but commercially the snes made more money for nintendo than the megadrive did for sega and thats all that matters in the end.
One way you could look at it though is that if it was still supported in Brazil until 2002, then Brazil was damaging the Dreamcast, which makes the fact it was still being supported very bad..
Another great Matt Furniss session.Intro is one of my favorite genesis songs, well I have a couple hundred favorites, but damn the intro to this game kicks ass.
To all that don't know the first song in this video is not the intro. The second song is the intro(2nd part of the intro).Sorry for not saying thanks Garudoh! You are the MAN/WOMAN!Much respect for posting.
This was a good game. I think the music on the Master System version is better, though. The music itself is the same, but the SMS version just looks more polished.
I think it was my brother who got this for his birthday along with Sam & Max. I used to be scared to watch the chestbursting scene. I'd definently prefer this over the SNES version, gaming & music wise.
I loved this game as a kid! Thanks for uploading the music :)

I always really liked the opening tune of this game.
Some other tracks were very nice too.
While the Megadrive version has it's charms, the SNES version is the superior version.
Would have been awesome if they had brought some of the MD tracks to the SNES version.

This version looks, and sounds horrible. Thank God there was a completely different version for SNES.

1:45 - 3:25 what a tune!
snes couldn't do that.

The only problem with Megadrive music was it was sometimes too screechy. Though in some situations, like this, the music was pretty good.

I liked the approach:
It was just an Alien-themed game.
They didnt care and just made a classic Arcade game out of it with awesome sound, I must add.
Great game. Fun to play.
