  • wow that was awesome!!!

  • @alisalyn911 Thanks!

  • Oh my gosh.. How steep is that? It looks like if you slipped and fell you would roll all the way down.

  • @MsHoneee It gets stepper towards the very top.

  • @MsHoneee its 50% grade so 50 feet up pre every 100 feet

  • You did an excellent job with this video!!! I can't believe you did it when it was 95 degrees outside. I was wondering if you were going to have enough water. I love to hate the Incline.

  • @skmhorses Yup, 95 degrees. I really should've checked the the temp BEFORE I decided to climb it. And to top it all off, I only have a little bit of water. I should've put water in my cambelbak

  • Hey I live out here, in Denver area too...still fairly new to this state...never knew about this. So want to try it. Great job!!!! Great attitude!!!

  • Great job, I don't think I could ever do that by myself.

  • this summer was the first time i've ever been to colorado springs, but me and my brother in the law did the incline in about 45 minutes lol. after that we ran down barr trail. to my surprise it's much easier to run down the trail to stride out and loosen up then to walk down

  • i've done this a couple of times...it's brutal!!

  • Well done, great video. I just went to Manitou Springs today, didn't do the incline this time.

  • You rock. Come back to Colorado. :)

  • lol did it today,i go once a week its fun i keep improving my time.

  • thanks for showing me a place I might like to visit

  • In The Name Of Jesus! My daughter and I will do this together one day, soon! Texas born and raised....lol

  • We were in Colorado Springs for the Pike's Peak race and a friend told me about the Incline...I'll just have to do it next year!!!

Way to go, you are very motivating girl!!! Keep it up, and I hope you have reached your weight loss goals!!

  • I must say. You inspired me. I have also been on a weight loss program and am my next challenge is the Incline. You did GREAT and were such an inspiration. Thank you for sharing your video. I would like to ask a question about your camcorder. Which one do you have? and which video editing program do you use? I was looking for your email address to ask, but can't find it. Please respond to: elegant.reflections@yahoo.com I would so appreciate it. Thank you so much!

  • Oh wow. Thanks for the video. I found out about the incline AFTER we left Colorado. Hopefully one day i will get the hell out of Ga and get to do it.

  • what a amazing human being r u! U r so inspiring... :)

  • The incline is one of the things that I miss the most about Colorado Springs. No matter how many times I did it, the plateau at the half way point always made my heart sink.

  • Yeah, I miss it too :o(

  • I did the incline today for the first time. I wanted so badly to quit at the half way point but I watched your video 3xs before I went and it really encouraged me to keep going as difficult as it was. It is such an accomplishment to reach the top and look down and see how far you've come. Thanks for making such an inspirational video. It really helped me to push myself thru the pain and not give up!! I will be going again for more punishment!!! LOL

  • I sure do miss it :o( No Inclines in Georgia :o(

  • I agree with jonesgirl24. I watched your video about 3 months ago right before i did it, and you encouraged me soo much to get to the top! just think how far youve come is all i can say looking down...

  • I completed it in 50 minutes. It should be renamed Staircase of Hell.

  • Lol so true!! I second that!

  • I did the incline yesterday for the first time. I made it to the top and it was a very difficult thing to accomplish. I also ran out of water.

  • Dang that looks scarey. I don't know if I would be able to make it down.

  • I have done the incline and it is the suck great video I have friends that no understand that this is one of the most intense things you can ever do

  • This is awesome! Good for you! I was just in Colorado Springs about a month ago, and I saw the incline, but I was too chicken to attempt it. I'm so glad you've documented your hike! Maybe I'll try it next time.

  • I just climbed the incline for the first time on Friday and my knees, back, and hips are hurting. Going back on Monday for more. Excellent lower body workout.

  • Amy .........

    YOU ROCK!!!!!

Thank you for posting this. I wish I could have joined you on this incline.

    xoxo,

    I am Love.

    LaSha'

  • I wish you were too...it's lonely climbing it alone.

  • you walked UP a mile and then down 4 miles?!!? HOT DAMN...you couldn't pay me to do that

  • Lol...I didn't know it was 4 miles down until I got to the bottom of the trail. There was a sign there for ppl that wanted to hike up the trail. 4 miles up to the top of The Incline and 13 miles up to Barr Camp.....and if you keep going you'll eventually get to the top of Pikes Peak - that 14,000+ feet mountain I showed you in the beginning of the video.

  • Correction: once you hike the 13 miles up, you'll be at the summit of Pikes Peak. I thought it was a lil more than 13 but it's not. Maybe one day (gonna have to be sometimes soon cuz we're moving) I can hike the 13 miles to get to the top of Pikes Peak.....WITH TONS of water this time! lol

  • you're an inspiration <3

  • I wish I was there...what an experience!! you did really good. I'm going to share this vid.

  • I wish I could be so committed, hopefully I'll find it in me sometime soon and take hold of my life and maybe start eating healthier and working out.

  • Wow!! Good for you!! I would've been SO scared to climb that mountain bc the view looking back at how high up and how steep the climb is would have made me faint--obviously I'm afraid of heights -__-

  • "My little trustee nikees" lol lol lol lol!!! OMG your too much! lol lol

  • I love my Nikes! They were good on the way up but I definitely could have used some hiking shoes on the way down!

  • This is very inspiring. Great video!

  • Way to go! That looked so hard and a bit scary. You're looking great!

  • u reall brave..i cried during the rope course when i was going to camp...i thawt i was gonna die..lol...

  • lol

  • AMYYYYY WONDERFUL GIRL!!! YOU go head, I would have needed an oxygen tank in that book bag! Your wonderful girl.. stay encouraged and keep it up!

  • i'm so proud of u! next time pack extra water and bring a partner tho.

  • i'm very proud of you!

I have to say you scared me walking up and down that mountain then not having any water.

it was like watching a movie!lol

  • Lol...while driving home I stopped at 7Eleven and bought the biggest bottle of water I could find!!

  • Amy I'm so jealous of how much motivation you have. I'd kick my self if I lost you as a friend, your such an inspiration... you did a great job going up the mountain. =)

  • Oh Amy....don't ever do something like that during PEAK sun hours maam! NEVER! I'm proud of you though. That's my task for the weekend...find a mountain that I can climb out here. I loved climbing Stone Mountain b/c it was like taking several steps to get to the top!! Changing up your routine is the best you can do for your body...b/c you're tricking it (sort of) to speed up that weight loss. Congrats-o

  • I didn't think it would be that hot :o( I know now!! lol Maybe I'll be able to tackle Stone Mountain when we move.

  • amy i am proud of what you did. it must have been hard. especially through all that ugliness. lol. anyways keep it up. lookin great and dont give up.

    god bless

    eric villarreal

  • Absolutely amazing. You are such an inspiration to so many of your viewers. That is a very good workout. Excellent job!

  • I am so happy for you great job!

  • AMY! First of all let me say how proud of you I am for this. Great job and great workout.

Why didn't you take your (or Sweetie's) CamelBak with you? I'm pretty sure you guys have one being military and all. If you don't please invest in one. Did you have some shock blocks, powerbars, goo, trail mix, or those electrolyte jelly bellys with you so you could refuel?

  • Thx chica! I wish you were here so we could have tackled The Incline together....cuz I know you like hikes.

That orange thing you saw on my back was a CamelBak but my dumb tail couldn't find the blue water thingy that goes inside it.....so I just bought a water bottle. Never again!! lol I took a PowerBar and a banana but I couldn't eat any of the PowerBar and only had 2 bites of the banana. Not sure what was up with that :o(

  • Amy you are the bizness!! I admirer you so much. You are definitely an inspiration to a lot of us!!!

  • AMY I AM SO DAMNED PROUD OF YOU!!!!!!!!!!! I wish I was there to walk with you and give you my extra water bottle. :) You're a champion.

*Funny...I did something similar last week...*lol

  • congrats on your journey*********** you did it

  • OOOH MY!!I am sooo proud of you gurl!! That was soo amazing.. I wanna do it! I wanna do it!! Im going to look in to it now. Im in AZ so I know its hot that high in the air... Wasnt it hard to breath?. Im going to go early morning before the sun cooks me...

    Great job!!

  • Amy, you went alone? Please be careful. I am proud of you tho. :)

  • I didn't have anyone to go up with me :o(

  • you are so amazing!

  • I am concerned that u did that by urself at noon at "high" elevation! Be careful! I was concerned about the Grand Canyon and that was only 6000ish feet. I would like to go up with you although I'd be afraid of rolling down the incline! :D There should be at least a railing on one side or a bench at the false summit.

I hope you are proud of urself for not quitting. Make sure u stretch! Yah Amy!

  • I'm used to the altitude here b/c we've lived here for 4 years.

  • You have been such an inspiration. Just needed to share that. I have decided that I must do the 'Manitou' once I'm 10lbs from my goal weight. Thanks for all the intimate moments you share with us u-tubers; if I want encouragement I hit you up, if I wanna laugh, I hit you up, you're truly an amazing person. I think I might write Oprah, lol.

Once again thanks and I look forward to many more vids.

    Peace & Blessings

    Ms. Boyd

  • Are you in Colorado too?

  • wow amy, that was amazing. that took alot for you to do and you made it. i really respect you for making that journey. thanks for sharing it with us. it means alot. ((hugs))

    *tori*

  • Wow! Amy! That was one heck of a workout..I wish I had it in me. You are going to be in a size 6. Keep up the good work. I bet you love drinking water about now.

  • Ha!! Yup, water was my best friend that day!

  • OKAY, TELL me how to get there..LOL I love the amazing view. I would just do that to meditate..

  • OMG! Amy I am sooooo proud of you! That is incredible. I totally wanted to be right there with ya. Wish I had in incline where I live!

    Congrats

  • Wow, that's a long way up! I definitely wouldn't mind hiking the Incline with you. I can't imagine how good you feel having accomplished your long grueling walk in 95 degree weather. You'll see that one on the scale. Congrats!

  • that's my girl, you are inspiration to me love how you don't give up. I'm taking you with me on fear factor and the biggest looser lol. You get hugs and happy faces, dang i need some for me :-}

  • Fear Factor...only if you agree to be the one that has to eat the bugs....or whatever nasty cuisine they end up having. lol

  • wow!!! amazing...i would give something like that a try but...i don't think my knees would have it...and that's the ONLY reason y ;P

  • 95 degrees in the shade!

    Hummmmmmmmmmmmm..............

Maybe in the evening before the sun goes down and with lots of cool, clean water.

That way I could warm down; eat a health meal then take a NICE long bath and jump on You Tube for a few and hit the bed and sleep VERY WELL :)

  • The best time to tackle The Incline is early in the morning....6 or 7ish. I was too impatient to wait till the next morning to do it....I think I would have changed my mind overnight and ended up not going the next morning.

  • how u gonna take ur starter dreads out girl

  • go head AMY! I'm so proud of you! Wow that incline is serious!

  • wow u go girl so proud of u Amy

  • congrats amy~

  • Congrats|I luhve loooooooooooooooooooooong hikes|No Joke|

  • I'll be honest you could not pay me to do that. You got some big time guts Amy! You're truly a strong woman!

  • i wish i woulda been there... thats my type of stuff

  • AHHHH!!! for the brandy playing! I LOVE HER!!! lol....but u r just inspiring because I couldn't do it! lol

  • That was good I know you lost some pounds, I probably could not finish that I would of ended up feeling sick and wanting to go to sleep. Keep doing what your doing.

  • Brave, I would have needed a partner on the way back down as well, looked like a scene from The Hills Have Eyes.

You are just a shrink ball of inspiration, keep it up Amy.

  • 12 noon huh? Where in the world was your hat Miss Ma'am and did you put on your sunscreen? Now I know mama taught you better. LOL. Congratulations.

  • Ha! I don't own ANY sun visors. Definitley gonna have to buy one. It sure would have come in handy. Good thing was that the sun was either behind me or right above me, not in front of me. I flat out forgot all about sunscreen.

  • WOW!!.. You are serious... its great to se ethat not only are you gonna reach your goal but your also making a real inspiring and worth while journey... I wish you the best on the weight loss.... Your doing Great...:)

  • Whoa.

    CONGRATS!!

  • wow! im so proud of you amy! i would never have the courage to go up that incline (mostly cuz im scared to death of heights like that). great job! you go girl!!!

  • girl u r gettin it.....congrats

  • u should always bring plenty of water three or four bottles especially on a hot day like that but congradulations that looked hard :D

  • I usually have water on my CamelBak but I couldn't find the blue water thing that goes inside it so I just took a water bottle :o(

  • I am so proud of you, Sis!!!

  • Very inspirational video Amy.

I wish I could have done it with you. I soo wish I had a work out partner:-/

    Later.

  • I wish I did too :o( I work out at the YMCA with room full of woman but after that, I'm on my own. Sweetie was at work so he couldn't go with me.....he really didn't want to anyway :o(

  • wow Amy. Congrats. And yep this is so inspirational...my favorite part was when you got to the top and just looked around, giving yourself a moment or two of silence. awesome.

    This really impacted me, girl.

I was reluctant to do any kind of Watch me Shrink stuff...but, this reminded me that the journey is mine and mine alone. I can't keep worrying about who is with me or who I'll leave behind -- I just need to get to the top.

    Thanks for posting this. *smile*

  • wow, you are a brave woman! You showed true courage.."courage is not the absence of fear, but the presence of fear, and the will to overcome." I've been watching your videos for a long time and I just want to say you are very inspiring. You're funny, too..lol. I wish you well on your weight loss journey, I know you are going to meet your goal because your heart is set on it.

    God bless!

    Kim

  • OMG at THAT MOMENT AT 12:00. i wish I could join u. I know you are continously on the journey. Please think of something for us. I say us because I know that Im not the only one who wish I would have jumped on the band wagon at the time. Make a program for beginners or second chancers. PLEASE!?!

  • Just get up and do it! :o) Really, that's all you have to do.

  • Aww I wish It wasnt too late to jump on the band wagon, u are so inspirational and so motivational. i wish I knew you were going to be soooo there for others. I would have joined. i realllyy would have, my problem is, i have no support system. But you are nothing but a support system. I regret not joining.

  • It's NEVER too late to join. It's not a challenge or a competition at all! It's just a bunch of ppl (well, a few ppl now) eating healthy and exercising on a regular basis in order to lose weight and become more healhty. You can start doing that ANYTIME!
