It is levi's decision to put forth an idea of what they see a country represented as. Yes they are a commercial entity but one of the largest and most iconic in our land, do you see people bitching about McDonalds commercials when they advertise how they support farmers? Because I can assure you there is much more evil propaganda than Levi's trying to inspire a generation- They are entitled to an opinion and I think they are trying to make an impression as a brand, not an advertisement.

Finally, advertisements with strong words, and motivating and thought-provokig poetry, music, and scenes. LEVIS hit the nail on the head with these "Go Forth" commercials. Its not about being the loudest, or the most annoying commericals. Other advertisers could learn a thing or two from LEVIS.

Seriously people, lighten up. Art by its very definition is what you make of it so if you cant get past the fact that something is being sold then you are trying too damn hard to be a cynic. To me it represents and touches upon what many Americans are feeling right now. The "down but not out" feeling, lessons learned from excess and the yearning to get back to the basics that once made us great. I love the symbolism and no it doesnt make me want to by jeans though so clearly Im missing the point
