Question, would you recommend this product as a stick for say someone is would like to purchase their first stick? I'm asking because I am very interested in buying my own, but the way you make it sound is the fact that its versatility is well noted and well made. I figured that I would ask you since you obviously own a few stick yourself and I would really like your input. Thanks.
Wow you have alot of fightsticks. I never had a fightstick in my entire life, I just look at them online and dream of getting one.........then getting it signed by people like Daigo and Leeroy Jenkins
@DeuxTrux just remember that if you never played with an Arc Stck, your most likely gonna suck for a few days/weeks until you get your hands dirty with it. thats what happened to me :)
Great review! Only making me more anticipated to get it for xmas!! Speaking of xmas, do you think that the price of the stick will go down during the holidays? Because my parents are very picky and i never really asked for something that costs over 100 dollars unless it was more than one thing y'know? xP
Dude, thanks for the review of this stick! I was kinda on the fence about it, but you've shown it to be a worthy purchase. I just pre-ordered mine yesterday!
Even though I'm a pad warrior, I feel that this will give me no excuses to learn stick.
I remember fighting you at Revelations, and seeing you at EVO with your trademark furry hat thingy!
@tubazo1989 Its most def an awesome stick and great for tournaments with multiple consoles! There is nothing wrong with a pad warrior though but I agree this is a great stick to start off with.
We fought at Revelations? You prolly bodied me huh? >.< lol its all in good fun though! You should have came up and said hi at evo! ^.^
Im glad you liked the review though! Make sure to keep me and focusattack updated when you get your Qanba ^,^
@KOtvShow There are almost no reviews on the q4 but thank god I found yours. I play SSF4 and MK9 on xbox and I wan't the most reliable stick. I can't decide between the TE stick or the Qanba. I would prefer the one that would last longer and has less bugs. I don't play offline much so the conversion isn't an auto buy for me even though its nice. I heard the mic jack on q4 is screwy which is somewhat important to me and I also heard some buttons don't work can u help me pick one?
@BattleMania I dont use the mic jack much when I am playing online so I dunno about that but the q4 is most def a good quality stick and if you are constantly switching between consoles its a great stick to have since its dual modded. For the price I think its a better buy than the TE in some cases ^.^
hi im from morocco there's a way that i can buy a TE or QUANBA stick? i need some one who can deliver any where in the world, if some one can help thx.
@BenMHM I think focusattack does deliver internationally. you can always email Jaleel from focusattack or @ reply him on twitter. All the links should be in the description box =)
In what world do the PS3, the Xbox360 and the PC amount to "everything"? Even with it, it wouldn't be "everything", but that's especially disrespectful to the PS2, since it's quite the console for fighting games. That's why the PS360+ is such an interesting prospect - were there no PS2 support, it wouldn't be.
That part is very misleading... Other than that, good review.
Honestly, there aren't many fighting games on the PS2 that you can't play on the PS3, 360 or PC. Now that Third Strike is out on both consoles, there isn't a single competative game exclusive to those platforms.
As much as we all loved the PS2, it's time to move on.
@ioncat Using emulators on the PC is an obvious answer, but it's usually not the same thing, especially for games originally released for Arcade platforms like Naomi and Atomiswave. The whole "move on" thing is two-sided: it's true that on a global scale, old games have stayed behind, but that shouldn't stop people from enjoying games such as SFA2, SFA3 and CvS2 if they feel like it, just to name a few notable ones. People choose which games they wanna play, not the times or the platforms...
@ioncat Additionally, I'm not a KoF player, but I can tell you there's a very considerable population of KoF - 98 and 2002 - players around the world - not really in the US, and if they feel like using a console, I think it's the PS2 (I've heard classic KoF2002 released inside KoF2002UM for the PS2 is perfect or something) they'll choose.
You have a fair point, but I honestly believe that serious fighting gamers are usually perfectly aware of how to use emulators or at least find them to play their favorite games. And I say 'favorite games' for a reason. Personally, SFA2 is my absolute favorite fighting game. I also understand that it isn't played competitively anymore, so I play it on my PC.
I think you get the point I'm trying to make. I just don't think PS2 support is needed these days.

@KOtvShow I really can't decide on what stick to buy, this or a TE... >.< It'll be my first stick and I don't want to make a bad investment that I'll regret, you know?
That's pretty awesome, good review. I wish you would have gone in-depth with opening the stick up and actually finding out whether you can swap the buttons/stick out for other buttons or not.
@RobertHollow you actually can open up the stick and customize it how you want it with different buttons etc. I dont think i mentioned it but it comes with button caps for people who dont like the three buttons on the side. I have also already seen LEDs put in one of these =)
Wonder if any sticks are for the 3DS... though it would be difficult to have a stick in your lap and playing on a 3DS that is 10 times smaller than the stick.
