Skeletons, holding places for meat and organs, tributaries too, like branches of a tree, no the roots are a better analogy. Because somehow soul and spirit, though we cant see or touch them, are also part of that symbiosis, that mixing of thoughts, dreams and dna that makes us walking around biological machines.

So, yes, you are astute, the lover you once ran your hands on, through raven hair, in moments that have not faded, he still is there, eternal, always, in your mind's flower and stalk
