Due ironically to their financial value as daily producers of eggs, a battery hen's life can last for up to TWENTY MONTHS of unrelieved agony. Only miserable death brings an end to their sufferings. I went out and gave our hens some hugs and a piece of cornbread. It's only 3 vs. 300 million, but our girls will never know anything but love and caring. We spoil them rotten.
@rocketman63 I know how you feel. I had 4 hens that I had to sell due to moving, but when I had them they made the most wonderful pets. I loved them so much, they brought a lot of joy to my home. The only thing we can do is spread the word. Knowledge and awareness is what will eventually end this cruelty.

When you eat a wing or KFC and find a broken bone, ever wonder why? Did it happen before or after the chicken was killed? Did you know, the same hormone that forces hens to lay two or more eggs a day is the same one that causes breast cance?. When your eight year old daughter finds a lump in her breast was it worth it to give her those factory farmed products?
