I played and finished the Amiga version back in the day and never saw the MegaCD version until now in this video and i must say that i would be them both equally on par with each other because they both have their strengths and weaknesses, but i must say that the first thing i noticed about this MegaCD version was the vastly increased amount of animation frames for the approaching cars! Very impressive :)
Maybe you are right :). But I wonder if the cdda soundtrack contained track number 04 called "Thrash Pig" that was available in Amiga version? I would be very happy to hear it in cd high quality. This module is awesome!
sorry to al the amiga version lovers but i really think this game looks better then the amiga despite the lack of colours this look more realistic everythiung is bigger and its one of sega cd its best.
I half agree with you but I personally like the Amiga version graphics a little more.
The jag on this does look better than the amiga one but background and surroundings look better on Amiga and speed is bit better on Amiga aswell.
As for the sound, SFX are about the same but wouldnt normally [Megadrives original soundchip is utter shit imo] but MegaCD gave the MD an extra 8 sampled channels.
The music quality is better here because its CDDA but I still prefer the Amiga mod tunes.
Would it be possible to play the repair screen for a while? where the steel jag walked across the individual parts of the car that needed to be fixed? i loved that music. This is definately one of my all time favorite games.

The one thing I liked about this game thats missing from 99% of racing games to date was the ability to make your own tracks.

@BifordusMaximus Do you realize how difficult is it to make a track?
darthspeaks 1 year ago
@darthspeaks In general, yes. In this game it took a little practice but then it was just fun.
