I'm a girl and i thought the Twilight movies sucked and so did the books to be honest, but I'll probably have to go see therest of them just because I have too many friends that are superfans and they literally will drag me into the theater by my hair. I don't know if anyone else has friends like that?
When the movies first came out I said I would never watch them. However, I have watched all three of them so far. No it is not because the guys in it are "hot" or whatever you want to say. My views are completely different. Its the simple fact that when I read a book, sure I can play whats happening in my head, but its completely different actually being able to watch it no matter how much the movies sucked. And if you think about it...there are alot of movies out there that are alot worse.

this is a great movie because of many reasons, one because of the way it was directed and two because of the GREAT story. you said it yourself that you dont like the story, therefore if you cant appreciate the story, then your review on the movie adaptation isnt reliable

its a modern Love Story, it just happends that the two main actors bring alot of chemistry to the sceen which makes their love believable. To be honest Robert is a very new actor that still has alot to lear but to be fair he does have alot of potential. As for Kristen, she acts the same in all her movies but she is still a nice person in real life. That is the reason why the Twilight Sagas are great movies

Like to be Edward you have to be extremely nice and loving and all that stuff and say really cute sincere things.And let's face it not a lot of guys out there say that stuff unless they are really really really really in love with that girl!!! I am a girl, and I am sitting on the fence with New Moon, I say Twilight sucked. The only good bit of Twilight was the music. With New Moon it was the graphics. That was it. I mean, the story is pretty stupid, but the book is rather captivating to me. I've been in lots of debates about the series, and I say... for sake of entertainment, one shall pick what they enjoy. The books were good and the graphics were much better than the first one, and Edward is really good with poetry and I think girls prefer guys who sound smart and romantic, not assholes who say "Yo bitch I want to get with cha." I like New Moon WAY better than Twilight (Movies) only because, yes, the effects and whatnot were kicked up a few notches, what with the werewolves. And it didn't look like Robert was SWEATING SPARKLES.

I am a girl and I've read the books and I totally agree with you. I think the movie was beautifully shot and it looked really nice (a real step forward from the first movie in that department) but it was crap in every other aspect. Acting, script... it was rubbish. I think that Robert Pattinson doesn't even try to do well in his acting, cuz he doesn't like his character. He knows the movie's gonna be a success as long as he's half-naked in it, so why bother trying to be a good actor?
You're right.... men like Edward and Jacob are fantasy. If a real guy was a vampire, he's just eat Bella the first time he saw her. Jacob would be so absorbed with his new powers, he would be bothered with some girl pining over another guy. That a guy would put a girl ahead of his own needs... complete fantasy. They should have made the story with a boy and a girl vamp and girl werewolf... now that might have worked.

Was the movie good? No. But the atmosphere was. All of these girls, just being there in one mind, all thinking the same things, it can really make a movie feel amazing to be part of a big thing, especially cat calling taylor lautner. And to anyone who says the books are good, they are not, they are just plain addicting. They are a drug and if you spend five minutes to critically read it, you'll see the plot holes and stupidity of it all.
Yeah, I'm sorry, but they're really not. The only half way decent one was Midnight Sun. But there's no change in voice amongst the characters, Meyer created a man unlike any man that could ever exist, ever, and his personality changes every five minutes. It was written based off of a daydream of a teenage girl, and when she got older and became a writer, she hadn't grown up a single bit.
It is of course just amazing in m opinion but it's not the movie that appeals to mostpeople it is the books because the books are honestly a million times better.......that is why it was so great not for the movie but just simply being a good read
I attended both films with my niece, both were so vapid and devoid of anything interesting to an adult mind.
My niece thought it was okay, she insists the books are good...I gave her an Anne Rice book as an early christmas present, having read part of it she thinks it is better than the Twilight ones.

I agree with most of what you said, but in my opinion its definitely not the worst movie and certainly not the best. I think the filming is pretty well done, the saturation and color scheme is good, and I like some of the ideas the writer had for her version of vampires and werewolves. My friends like to call the vampires in her story blood thirsty gargoyles since they can turn into stone.

I'm a girl, I think the Twilight movies are terrible but I will continue seeing the rest of the movies to come. Why? Good looking guys period. Why do we have to explain ourselves to bitching men? its a modern Love Story, it just happends that the two main actors bring alot of chemistry to the sceen which makes their love believable. To be honest Robert is a very new actor that still has alot to lear but to be fair he does have alot of potential. As for Kristen, she acts the same in all her movies but she is still a nice person in real life. That is the reason why the Twilight Sagas are great movies

I honestly think that guys don't like it cause it sets a really high standard for them. Like to be Edward you have to be extremely nice and loving and all that stuff and say really cute sincere things.And let's face it not a lot of guys out there say that stuff unless they are really really really really in love with that girl!!! So that's my opinion on why guys don't like the whole movie. Oh it goes the same way with Jacob. But all in all i think it's a good movie for the action and stuff

I am a girl, and I am sitting on the fence with New Moon, I say Twilight sucked. The only good bit of Twilight was the music. With New Moon it was the graphics. That was it. I mean, the story is pretty stupid, but the book is rather captivating to me. I've been in lots of debates about the series, and I say... for sake of entertainment, one shall pick what they enjoy. The books were good and the graphics were much better than the first one, and Edward is really good with poetry and I think girls prefer guys who sound smart and romantic, not assholes who say "Yo bitch I want to get with cha." What kind of asshole talks like that anyway?Oh and they kicked ass in the movie. (I know you said not to say this, but your not the boss of me, so Edward and Jacob were really hot.)

i think twilight was better then new moon. even thought twilight looked cheap it just had that magic, like the music made twilight, but now when it comes to new moon the music sucked and it didn't take you to the place that twilight did. but i'll still buy the new moon dvd, because i have to. the books aren't that much better she makes a lot of mistakes like in breaking dawn she says she's cooking charlie pancakes, but then it says something like charlie was looking into his cereal bowl. DUMB!

I Love the books, but the movies are not that good... Though new moon was way better then The first movie. Twilight was horible, and the actress that plays bella sounds sooo fake. I don't really like Robert Patterson either, he dosn't play Edward well... plus in the scene when he takes his top off when trying to kill himself his man tits looked all deformed which is a complete turn off. (No offence to you Robert lovers) and yes Taylor is hot, i think thats the only reason i watched the movie.

No one can ever be like edward (well...maybe a goth...) but you can find some people who have the personality of Jacob (but not a werewolf) And It is kinnda cheesy. but most girls would want that kind of life and it lets us get away from lairs and cheater that men these days are!

I like New Moon WAY better than Twilight (Movies) only because, yes, the effects and whatnot were kicked up a few notches, what with the werewolves. And it didn't look like Robert was SWEATING SPARKLES.
Honestly, the books were better off without a theatrical representation.
I mean, it's like "Bella" isn't even trying to act. She improved slightly when it occured to her that this would get her more money than she originally believed, but she and Robert P. ruin it.

I think the movie was beautifully shot and it looked really nice (a real step forward from the first movie in that department) but it was crap in every other aspect. Acting, script... it was rubbish. I think that Robert Pattinson doesn't even try to do well in his acting, cuz he doesn't like his character. He knows the movie's gonna be a success as long as he's half-naked in it, so why bother trying to be a good actor?

You're right.... men like Edward and Jacob are fantasy. If a real guy was a vampire, he's just eat Bella the first time he saw her. Jacob would be so absorbed with his new powers, he would be bothered with some girl pining over another guy. That a guy would put a girl ahead of his own needs... complete fantasy. They should have made the story with a boy and a girl vamp and girl werewolf... now that might have worked.

Was the movie good? No. But the atmosphere was. All of these girls, just being there in one mind, all thinking the same things, it can really make a movie feel amazing to be part of a big thing, especially cat calling taylor lautner. And to anyone who says the books are good, they are not, they are just plain addicting. They are a drug and if you spend five minutes to critically read it, you'll see the plot holes and stupidity of it all.

Yeah, I'm sorry, but they're really not. The only half way decent one was Midnight Sun. But there's no change in voice amongst the characters, Meyer created a man unlike any man that could ever exist, ever, and his personality changes every five minutes. It was written based off of a daydream of a teenage girl, and when she got older and became a writer, she hadn't grown up a single bit.

I attended both films with my niece, both were so vapid and devoid of anything interesting to an adult mind.
My niece thought it was okay, she insists the books are good...I gave her an Anne Rice book as an early christmas present, having read part of it she thinks it is better than the Twilight ones.

actually, i thought new moon was a lot better than twilight. it followed the book well haha, whereas twilight skipped tons of scenes.
i dont know.. i really liked the book new moon, so i loved the movie, esp because the character chosen to play jacob is hot lol. i guess i appreciate it more because im a girl... and thats kind of how i think .. and how i would react in that situation? xD.. (though not to the point of doing suicidal activities .. LOL but yes.. id be pretty depressed)

I agree with most of what you said, but in my opinion its definitely not the worst movie and certainly not the best. I think the filming is pretty well done, the saturation and color scheme is good, and I like some of the ideas the writer had for her version of vampires and werewolves. My friends like to call the vampires in her story blood thirsty gargoyles since they can turn into stone.

I'm a girl and it was a good film except rather far fetched like when Edward was stepping into the light I mean come on how long does it take you to walk to steps. And when Bella is running to him and she stops I mean wtf you wouldn't stop! Some of the graphics were good and others were crap like when the vampires run.
