He was severely abused by children and Hispanic/Black men with hoods and hats on their heads. No matter how hard we tried to train him NOT to growl and bark at kids and these type of men, he still does it to this day and he is 3 years old. My family and I have nothing to do with his behavior towards those type of people. We keep my dog under control.

@RAIm0mToo Actually Pit's are best suited with energetic owners who will play rough with them. There is a fine line between playing rough and being overly physical with the dogs. Pits need to pull big tires and play tug of war and all other non violent manor of getting out their aggression. Pit's are aggressive dogs most of the time by nature. They can be very sweet but they need an outlet for energy and aggression.

All guard dogs breeds are to a degree aggressive and need a bit of rough play. As long as the owner has established his or herself as the Alpha Dog so to speak they can rough play with their dog. Pitts are a high energy dog and they need to be used in a way that allows them to use their energy.

And pitbulls are actually a really good breed of dog to have around your family. They were at one time known as Nanny Dogs.

@moddatrucka That actually looked and awful lot like just plain old rough housing. I do the same thing with my black lab and she loves to rough house. Dogs actually PLAY a lot more roughly than that. And pitbulls are actually a really good breed of dog to have around your family. They were at one time known as Nanny Dogs.

Second, pits are one of the most loyal dogs out there, not only do they want to make there owners happy they protect them too, especially little ones. @danixrenee There are many stories of "loving" pits who have turned on their master or acted out in ways that they were not known to act. Pit Bulls are a fighting breed. They can be good dogs to the right owners. Just the same many times they can turn and out of nowhere attack someone or something.
The problem with Pits is many times they are owned as a status symbol by meat heads who want to show how bad they are through owning a pit or pits. Bad owners in other words.
