Certainly. I used a Logitech Quickcam 4000 webcam to animate (I've recently upgraded to the 9000) and I animate in StopMotionPro, which can be rather costly. Otherwise, videos can be animated and edited in Windows Movie Maker.

I wonder why have you got the main driving lego base locomotive buit as the tender? That means that the tender is being pushed and pulled at the same time. Why didn't you build bessie the main engine on it?

Because if I had, she would have been an 0-4-0, not a 2-2-2. Therefore, it wouldn't heve been Bessie.

You're right about the 2-2-2 wheel arrangement in Bessie. I think it might have been based on something to do with 2-2-2 broad gauge locomotives used by the GWR over 100 years ago, say Iron Duke or Firefly in particular.

Apparently they're creating a new control system based off the Lego NXT range. The rolling stock will be compatible, but not the 9V/RC motors.

dunno, seems to have too many wheels in too mnay places along the length to be physically possible on a tight bend, or an s shape, anyway i must be wrong.

If normal Lego train wheels are places 3 in a row (0-1 studs apart) then they can go round corners. Bessie can go round easily because her leading/trailing wheels are different profiles.

That was one of the changes. The others were:

The funnel had 1 Yellow part instead of 2 (however 2 yellow parts are seen briefly when Bessie first arrives)

The tender doesn't have the brake rigging

One layer of lego plates has been removed from the underside so Bessie can go over points (this is not noticable)
